Chalet Norva

The home was in a spectacular location on the lake with fabulous views. Inside was warm, comfortable and homely with everything you would need for a wonderful stay. The sauna was lovely too! Loads of tobogganing on the hill outside, the kids loved it. It made our stay in Lapland very special.

It is about 30 min drive in snowy conditions to the centre but that is the advantage of having snow and the views so we didn't mind that!

The house is a dream 🥰 We spent 5 wonderful days at Chalet Norva. Everything in this house is just perfect; it's furnished with love and taste. Everything you need is there. We were incredibly lucky to see the Northern Lights on 3 nights. Sari and Henk are super nice hosts. We went on a wonderful snowshoe hike with them, where they cooked a delicious meal for us. We would have loved to stay longer. If we ever come back to Finland, we'll definitely stay at Chalet Norva again.

The house is incredibly well located. It is close to the airport and the city of Rovaniemi, yet it offers a wild setting that immerses you in nature. The view is simply exceptional and makes you want to admire it for hours. Everything is in place for a magical time with family or friends. There is plenty of space, and the magnificent living room lets you admire the frozen lake while staying cozy in front of a warm fireplace. The exterior is just as spectacular. You can build a fire near a small wooden shelter, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere even at -6°C, under a starry sky. And what about the owners? They are incredibly kind people who offer experiences off the beaten path, far from the usual tourist circuits. The house has two saunas, including an outdoor traditional one, offering a unique experience with the possibility of plunging into the lake at 2°C, under the watchful eye of Sari (the owner and soon-to-be guide!). Not to mention the ice fishing activity: after departing by snowmobile, we found ourselves in the middle of the ice, drilling holes to fish. An ingenious idea was to build a fire on a sled to grill some freshly caught fish and other meats. Sari and her husband really thought of everything and gave us an exceptionally intense and unforgettable experience. Many thanks to them and i recommend to make activities with them! My friends and I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and something tells me this won’t be our last visit!

With the cold, the Garage and Camp Fire floors were frozen. It might be a good idea to thaw them out to avoid to slide.

The location was amazing. We were in the forest alongside a frozen lake and spent several evenings outside, around the fire pit, watching the Northern Lights. The children loved sledging down to the lake and playing in the snow. The chalet was very comfortable and well equipped. It was an amazing holiday!

This place was just unreal inregards how clean it was the service we got, the place it was located, the friendly owners that did everything they could to make us welcome. So grateful we found this place to stay here would definitely go again.

Terrific location, if you are lucky northern lights will pay a visit with a frozen lake view. The housing facilities are outstanding in comfort and design, definitely an all-rounder

The most beautiful home in the most beautiful place in the world!!! Sari was a wonderful host, checking in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. An easy drive from Rovaniemi city centre. So peaceful and quiet. We didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended!!

this house is was incredible!!! the host was super friendly and answered any questions we had straightaway. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, dishes and anything you could possibly need! The house was so warm and cozy, absolutely incredible stay and cannot recommended enough!!
