Iztok was an excellent host, not only was he available to answer our questions, but also was checking up on us making sure everything was in order. The location is top, with a short walk to the center of Ljubljana (3 bridges), the train station and supermarkets, this property is right where it needs to be, not too close, and not too far from the action!

I cannot think of anything really that we didn’t like!

Leider konnte man im unteren Stock gar nicht lüften, auch die Lüftungen haben nicht funktioniert: sehr schlechter Geruch, sehr unangenehm und nicht gemütlich.

Where to start? This is an absolute gem and we loved our time in the apartment. I'm not sure we would have stumbled on that particular area of Ljubljana had we not been staying there but it was absolutely perfect. We really like staying in a neighbourhood rather than a CBD so this was great. The apartment is so well cared for and equipped. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were excellent. In terms of locale, it's 5-7 minutes walk from the train station and the same again from the city centre. It's across the way from the excellent cafe at the museum where you can sit under the trees and enjoy good coffee watching the world. Absolutely perfect!

Being really picky ... it would have been good to have a cafetiere (but I am sure that the museum cafe is glad we didn't!)

Iztok ha sido buen anfitrión, atento y flexible con el check in. La ubicación es estupenda tanto para conocer Ljubjana como para viajar en tren o bus a otros puntos de Eslovenia.

Es un local (parece que un antiguo bar o restaurante) situado a pie de calle con las habitaciones y el baño en el sótano, creo que esta información no aparece en la descripción y nos ha parecido importante. Aunque ha sido reformado para ser un apartamento turístico, hay algunos aspectos deficitarios, por ejemplo, la ventilación ya que en la zona que da a la calle no hay ventanas que puedan abrirse o el baño que es muy. En definitiva, no dudo que cumpla con los requisitos legales para ser un apartamento turístico, sin embargo, de haber tenido toda la información, habríamos elegido otro alojamiento.

The kitchen could use a bit more inventory. Sufficient for two, but bigger pans would make it easier

Very little. In one way it was close to town - as long as you don’t mind the graffiti coated walls of every building before you get to the Dragon Bridge. Being close to the (fab) Ethnography building and its great cafe was a plus, but this is a druggy down at heel area- the Metallica Mesto isn’t groovy, it’s nasty. Did not feel comfortable in the area with teenage girls. We woke one morning to police lights and a dead / drugged body outside the front door. Taxi drivers couldn’t believe we’d chosen to stay in that area as a family. Host was helpful - but information in the apartment was poor, kitchen poorly equipped and we spent as much time as we could ‘not there’.

Let’s be clear - this is not an ‘apartment’ despite the cleverly lit photos. It’s a converted restaurant where they haven’t even been bothered to take out the dumb waiter or the urinal. The sleeping quarters are in a windowless basement. The decor and furniture is worn out and can’t have been upgraded in the ten years or so since that’s been ( badly) done. The description is misleading in many ways - wish we’d turned on our heels on arrival.
