Marinos Studios at Lourdata village

Lovely little apartment, it’s very basic but had everything we needed

Don’t expect luxurious shower or furniture, the shower is small but does the job

It was like a simple basic clean old style pension run by family who could not do enough to facilitate you. There was parking, a fabulous garden with fruit trees, mountain and sea views as and cats! They responded quickly with help.. to plug in TV, a laundry line and facilitated a late check out as the next tenants we’re arriving later. The village location is on a steep hill so while it’s walking distance to a couple of restaurants easily, the beach is too far too walk back up the hill in the sun. It’s also a great base for exploring surrounding beaches/ towns. To be clear.. At the price this is obviously not for luxury lovers but perfect for travellers with cars who want to a clean simple friendly good value accommodation

Our accommodation was cancelled 36 hrs before we flew out - so extremely anxious time re our planned holiday. We ended up cancelling our holiday accommodation with our original provider when we arrived in Kefalonia and swiftly looked what was available in Lourdas area as other family were joining us. Booked Marinos Sudios with Booking. Com and got there within a couple of hrs. Very laid back welcome and so much appreciated. Ideal location in the end for us and family that arrived later. With the air conditioning working well it helped the cooling process after walking up the hill

The location, was difficult for me as I was recovering from a traffic accident.And I was on crutches. .But Lourdata itself is on a steep hillside. But nearly all properties are on the hillside. Other than on the beech front.

Set in the heart of the village with views of the mountains on one side and the sea on the other. Vey spacious balcony. Typically Greek. A family run business and Mina was very courteous and helpful.

Needs updating, cupboards and drawers broken. Bed mattress very old. Bathroom bin needs emptying more frequently. Lights held together by tape.
