The sea view was fantastic, the balcony was a very useful feature. Also the enclosed parking was a bonus. Very close to the sea.

The washing machine did not have English instructions.

The view from the balcony is wonderful! The place is really a few steps from the beach, it has modern utilities, AC both, in the bedroom and living room and it looks exactly as described in the ad. Included is a private parking place. Our host was very attentive, friendly, very easy to keep in contact with, communication worked smooth, great attitude, gave us very good tips about the surroundings. Altogether, we had a great stay! Many thanks to our host!

Great place for holiday. Very nice view to the sea from the apartment. You can find anything you want in the apartment. The host is very helpful with everything. Very good communication with the host and very easy access to parking.

The view from the balcony is amazing. What a sunrise ! What a view ! It was hard to leave but we'll come back :) The location is very modern and located in the heart of Nea Makri, a lot of restaurants are available around, no need to take the car. The city especially during weekend is very animated, I dind't expected to this but the ambiance is nice. The host was helpful and nice, he replied very quickly at our questions via the booking message but also by phone. I enjoyed 500% the huge balcony and the view on the sea (I still see it :) I'll not mention that the sunrise is just splendid. This will be my location for a second stay in Nea Makri. The appart is just perfect. How about the big TV screen and big sofa, in case of rain, you'll have the perfect cinema evening. Just near the elevator entrance you'll find lemons for a tasty limonade :) Moreover the host has the juice machine so just enjoy the lemons. Also coffee machine and a lot of cooking material if you want to be a chef during your holiday. This location is perfect for a weekend, a week, a month or even more :)

Nothing. Hard to locate, poor, poor communication with the owner and little thought and care for how we might find and access the apartment. It is easier for Alex to communicate with us in his own country than the reverse; internet and phone is not so easily accessible and language can be a barrier. The owners of other AirBnb apartments we stayed at in Greece were proactive and took the initiative of contacting us up to 2 days ahead of our stay with full and detailed instructions about the location and how to access the apartment. They were helpful and welcoming. This was totally lacking in this case. What I would really like is to be refunded the 120+ euros I paid Booking.com, some 2 months previously, to cover the cost of the 2 nights' accommodation I had to pay for again, through no fault of my own.

I emailed Alex early in the morning of our proposed stay because I had had no word from him; no answer. The address of the apartment was extremely difficult to locate but we did find the block of flats, not the apartment, just before 5pm on a very cold, windy and rainy day. We tried to call Alex on the number given numerous times; no answer. Went to the nearest Vodaphone shop at 5pm to check if our phone had enough credit; it did and was working properly. Vodaphone staff also tried to call the number provided on our booking confirmation and also received no reply; they informed us there was something wrong with the number. We went back to the apartment block and my husband walked around the apartment block trying to find someone, hopefully, a caretaker to help us find the apartment, but the place was deserted. In desperation, after waiting in the cold and after many more frustrated attempts to contact Alex (further emails and attempted phone calls), as it was getting dark, we had to search for alternative accommodation, which fortunately we were able to do at such short notice. At 7.30pm, while we were having dinner, Alex deigned to reply to my first email. Really this was too late; we had had enough of chasing him and trying to find our accommodation for which we had paid 2 months earlier. Very ineffective communication which complicated things unnecessarily and certainly left us with a poor impression of Nea Makrea.

Great facilities, very modern, welcoming apartment in the heart of Nea Makri, right next to the harbour and beach. Had private parking space, which was one of the aspects we really wanted.
