High Sierra Retreat with a view of Pinecrest lake

The location was good and the size of the house was nice along with the balconies.

The beds were not comfortable. The oven was old and took forever to cook anything. If you use the microwave the TV doesn't work. I didn't realize it had no wifi but with how it's so secluded it would be nice.

We loved the location and having access to the private beach spot was perfect for our children. The host was easy to communicate with and responsive!

In the winter with snowfall on the ground, the road to the condo parking was very steep. You need all wheel drive or 4w drive to make it up or put chains on just for that last 100 yards. Our fault for bringing our minivan. Since we couldn’t park closer we had to carry all of our luggage and food up a couple flights of stairs to the front door. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone “older” or who would have trouble carrying belongings up snow covered stairs. Or just don’t be like us and drive a car that has capabilities of driving in the snow.

Very clean, close to Leland, beautiful view from balcony and host was responsive.

So many steps from parking to townhouse because driveway is icy to drive, but host mentioned that before we arrived.

The name is misleading, it has the view of Leland Reservoir not Pinecrest Lake that's 6 miles away.

Good location to access hikes in Emigrant like Kennedy Meadows and Pinecrest Lake. Well stocked kitchen. Hot water in showers. House can sleep many people - good if you’re coming with a big family or group of friends. Nice view of their local pond from kitchen and balcony.

Beds were terribly soft and saggy - our backs hurt a lot the mornings after. Room lights were quite dim and the light switch placement was not always intuitive. FYI there is little to no cell service in the Pinecrest area - we had to drive back onto highway 108 to look for service and get the house code. Make sure you are aware of this dead zone and get the code in advance.

Very close to Leland snowplay, 2 min walking. Plenty of space. Fully equipped kitchen is a big plus considering not much dining options around.

Bed is a bit uncomfortable. Mattresses are too soft.
