Appartement bien situé avec place de parking .

Good location. Could walk down to the main beach with our children. Aircon worked well.

Looked like the floor has never been mopped. The beds were not very comfortable. No towels were provided for the pool (we are from Australia so it’s not feasible for us to travel with 4 beach towels) and there was no replacement of bath towels for our 5 nights. The umbrella on the balcony was broken. The plates and cutlery had food on them so we had to rewash everything properly before using.

Manque d équipement dans l appartement : pas de four , pas de lave vaisselle, pas assez d ustensiles de cuisine, il n.y avait même pas une planche à découper. Les matelas pas assez confortables.

This apartment is only a 10 minute walk from the Praia da Rocha promenade and 15 minute walk to the beach. The nearest grocery shop is Pao Quente, also about 10 minutes from the apartment. Communication with our host was excellent. Immediately after booking, we were provided with three phone numbers (two numbers supported WhatsApp) to contact them with. They were very quick to respond to or acknowledge my messages about our arrival time and how to check in. The apartment is on the second floor of Clube Praia Mar and its balcony faces west. There is a lift available. The balcony is very large, there were two outdoor furniture sets (tables and chairs) with plenty of leftover space for the clothes horse. The coffee machine in this apartment is "Delta Q". Its capsules are widely available in supermarkets across Praia da Rocha and Portimao such as Intermarche and Continente. The host provided a welcome book in the apartment listing the house rules (rubbish, wifi, no smoking, etc.) and popular attractions around Portimao. This was valuable since we did not need to frequently contact the host for information about facilities. We hired a car and found it great to have a dedicated space in the underground car park on site. We were told what space we were assigned to by our host at check in and simply used the provided tag to open the car park gate. Inside the building, we were provided with washing up liquid and hand soap. The shower was very easy to operate and had both an overhead outlet and handheld outlet.

Staff at reception were very friendly and approachable but were rarely present at the front desk. When checking out we could not meet somebody in person so had to leave the keys at the desk and inform the host over the phone. It was great to have a private car park but the layout makes it very difficult to maneuvere around other cars. If you hire a car then I would be prepared to reverse around other cars and into tight passages as you make your way to your space. We appreciate the hand soap and washing up liquid but it was unfortunate we had no detergent for the washing machine. We did not stay for long enough to purchase detergent so it would have been great to have a few capsules or a bottle for guests on arrival. The balcony is accessed by three sliding glass doors. The locks on two of them were broken so it was very easy for someone to enter the apartment from the balcony.
