Clean and beautiful apartment

A bit to hard bed madrass for us

Good location. Clean modern apartment.

Brand new modern appartment, with large rooms, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large balcony. Private parking (important as free parking around is very limited). Host on site during office hours and very reactive. Picture are very representative of the flat. The location is quite nice, in the center of Algarve allowing you to go everywhere in 1h max, from Tavira East, to Sagres West. Boat for the benagil caves and all start from portimao, 5min drive from the appartment, no need for a shuttle, etc. (note that the A22 motorway is now free since 1st Jan 2025, super convenient!). Big high buildings around, this is the modern part ot the city, with no specific charm, but supermarkets nearby (intermarché and spar 3min walk, Lidl, Aldi and really huge Continente 5min drive), couple of restaurants (chinese, pizza, not very typical though) and two nice beaches at 50m (2min walk), with the nice view from the Miradouro de tres castelos for sunset. Partial view to the sea of course, as the bulding is at the second line from the water, but high floor makes it quite nice anyway. ood to choose this side of the building as the other side still faces a big construction site (I suppose noisy at daytime, and offering much less seaview).

You have to buy everything on arrival aprt from ONe waste bag and One toilet paper roll. It would be nice to have those for the week at least, and a couple of dose for the dish washer. We had to buy all on day 1, not really practical regarding minimum quantities. Fortunately we had thought about bringing a couple of washing machine doses, otherwise you have to buy a whole box for just 2 uses. We left oil and vinegar, salt etc, hopefully the next tenant will find more basic things than we got ourselves (nothing!). Not a matter of price, those cost very little, but we think that for something like 5e, those petty things should be included and present on arrival... Road down is noticeable, but all in all not too noisy at night. View is of course partially hindered by the 1rt waterline buildngs, but you can still have a good glimpse atthe sea, and the mirador is 50m away to have a beautiful sunset over the nice beaches. Parking spaces are rather narrow and we could not use ours because the neightbour car was parked half over it. Not the fault of the host, but still ennoying when outside parking spots are all full (which can be quick in the evening).

What a view!!! The balcony is a fantastic place in the morning for breakfast, and great place at sunset. Just close enough to the boardwalk without being busy. Great access to the beach and restaurants. Most things are within walking distance, or a short Uber rude. The building is new and clean. The apartment is clean and well appointed, and the assigned and covered parking is very convenient.

Overhead light in primary bedroom unexpectedly turns off on its own. The beds are very firm, and some may welcome more/better pillows. The location of the A/C unit in the primary bedroom prevents full access and use of the closet and drawers, since the left closet door cannot be opened completely. The shower head in the primary bathroom is hard to position while showering, and there's nowhere to place product bottles, soap, or towels.
