Quarteira beach house

The location was great, one block from the boardwalk and the beach. Secure building, we felt very safe.

Many things needed to be repaired or cleaned. 1. The fridge needs to be defrosted. 2. The shower head did not stay on the holder. 3. Right front stove element was not working. 4.Toaster works only on one side. 5. Kettle needs to be cleaned on the outside. 6. Pots and pans also need a good cleaning. 7.Bottom drawer in refrigerator is broken and ond of the shelves in the door is broken. 8. Only 2 towels, not enough for a 2 week stay. 9. The awning on the balcony does not close. 10. The toilet is lose and moves when you sit on it. 11. Only a shop vacuum to clean and a dirty broom. 12. There is no working area in the kitchen to prepare a meal.

I would appreciate an extra towel but it wasn't a big deal.

The apartment is the clean and the location is a a black away from the beach.

We ran into a situation where the key to the apartment wasn't working. Came back at 10:30 pm, gone through many messaging back and forth with the property manager for the issue. 2 people came to help and had to call locksmith who showed up at 12:30 am and had to detach the door and install a new lock system. Finally everything was done by 1:15 am when the locksmith was done. We were so exhausted by the whole situation adding a whole day of travel and activities. Waking up in the morning and finding out there is no electricity hence no Internet in the apartment. A few neighbor ladies we encountered, who live in the building, confirmed that it was the whole block of the side we were staying was out of electricity. The incident apparently didn't just stop with the lock for us 😔. Well, the property manager said he will refund partial payment of the stay through Bookings.com for this unfortunate circumstances and experience and we hope that is the case. Will come back and update this information when I actually see partial refund to my credit card.

Lovely apartment. Good value....Great location...Lovely balcony...Great communication from owner.

The pool was great. However the sun beds were so uncomfortable. Some cushions would have made such a difference.
