Villa Wältti

Villa Wältii is just a few minutes away from Rovaniemi and Santa Claus VIllage. Wältii surrounding area is quiet and at the same time stunning. We booked it during February, where there's lots of snow. Whenever we opened the blinds in the morning, we have been greeted with trees covered in thick layers of snow. Opening the windows enabled us to hear the huskies from a farm not far away as well, as the huskies were earger to start their trip. As there was so much snow, our kids had great fun. The were able to build their igloos everywhere, basically everyday. The VIlla itself is very, very spacious. There are two entrances, one main entrance, and the other one pointing directly towards the outdoor sauna. Once entering the Villa, you saw min attraction inside the house. A big room that offered a couch, kitchen, dining/breakfast table. All that surrounds an oven that can be used, IF someone should freeze inside the Villa. If, because it was very warm, sometimes even too warm, even though the outside temperature was -19°C for a day. The kitchen offerd all necessary stuff, like e.g., kitchenware, coffee machine and a dishwasher. Everything was clean and tidy. Same applys for the bedrooms. The washing maschine enabled us to bring less warm clothes in our travel bags. There was also an in-house sauna which we used once after a cold day - perfect. All in all, we would love to stay again in Villa Wältti.

Nothing really. If someone is picky, you could argue that the trash can is a 2 minute walk away.

The hoise is really cozy and has all the lixuries one would want from a winter getaway. 2 saunas were a plus. The design is nordic, but still fun and the extra layer of elfing up the decoration was really nice.

Not mich to say here, if only that the outside trashcan is a bit walking away.

Fantastic. a cozy, warm, clean and comfortable house in the winter forest. Host prepares well before your arrival. Close to a lake for north light hunting, you may also see the aurora in the yard if the weather is good. Outdoor Sauna is amazing experience.

Villa Waltti was a magical Villa in the woods when we arrived it was lit up with lanterns and Christmas decorations inside which instantly got us into the Christmas spirit. The hosts we super friendly and helpful with local advice and let us know when the Northern Lights were visible in the area so we could be sure to see them. The Villa was comfortable and cosy with everything you would need.

Fantastic villa in a stunning location. Close enough to the town to be able to get to all amenities easily but still feels in the wilderness. A short walk to the fantastic nearby reindeer and husky farm.

On a honeymoon with my wife and newborn in Europe, 5 countries, 10 accommodations and I have to say Villa Waltti is the best among all. Owners Eero and Mari treated us sincerely. They care for our well-being and comfort everyday. Also, their house is exceptionally beautiful and comfortable with indoor and outdoor sauna. Location is extremely good, 5min drive to Apukka viewing point to catch the aurora, and Eero and Mai will help us keep a lookout.

Lovely and cozy villa with beautiful surroundings natural. Very responsive hosts who made us feel at home. Strongly recommend to visit it.
