The location was peaceful but also only a 5 minute walk to the city centre The sauna was great after a day in the snow The kitchen had all the amenities required

The main light didn't work so the lounge area was very dark The sofa bed was very firm and my 11 year old daughter was even too tall, her feet hanging over the edge. It was so uncomfortable she ended up making a bed with a spare mattress on the floor. TV was temperamental- my 7 year old often needed a bit of TV to relax after a busy day and it was frustrating that the TV didn't always work.

Fully equipped apartment. All You need in kitchen. Plus sauna. Wi-fi available. Bonus: plastic sled for kids to use.

Very good location and good value for money

Completely unresponsive staff

I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment. It's conveniently located just a few blocks away from the city center. The apartment was very clean and surprisingly well-equipped with a variety of kitchen appliances, as well as a nice sauna.

However, there was an issue with a key pick-up. The office where the key is supposed to be picked up is located 1.5 km away from the apartment, and it's closed on weekends and afternoons. This means that guests have to pick up the key from a key box. A few days before my arrival, I received a message stating that I would be given information on the day of arrival about how to obtain the keys and the code for the box. However, after the check-in time (4PM) had passed, I still hadn't received any information. The host didn't respond to my messages and even hung up on me multiple times before finally answering my call on the sixth attempt. They eventually sent me the code and box number around 5 PM. Although everything was fine from that point on, I found this behavior to be rude and unprofessional. According to other reviews, I'm not the first person to complain about this issue.

The apartment itself was fine

IT’S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. Over a 3 day trip, we twice thought we would be homeless in Rovaniemi! A lockbox code was supposed to be sent the day of our arrival. We spent 3 hours after our arrival(6pm-9pm) in the airport, trying to contact them to get the code, because of this delay my sisters 50th birthday dinner had to be cancelled. Due to a family bereavement we had to push our trip forward by one day, they had assured us that although our original apartment was unavailable for the last day of our stay they would be able to give us a different apt for the last day. As they “have over 100 apts in the city”. Despite repeatedly trying to contact them for the duration of our stay with them (2 days) they did not get back to us until 6 hours after our check out time. At that point we had acquired and paid for a new apartment. When I replied to them explaining that I had had to find and pay for a new apt, and politely expressed my disappointment with them, my message was left on read. So, I paid for 3 nights and got 2 nights accommodation, and I haven’t heard from them since. They don’t respond to calls or text/WhatsApp messages, and their offices are closed during the 2 hours a day that they say they are open (3pm-5pm). Despite the apt. itself being fine, the trip itself became extremely stressful due to their extreme incompetence and disregard for customer care.

Our designated parking space was occupied by another car. No one during our entire 4-day stay texted back, emailed, whatsup, or answered the phone, so we stood in someone else's spot, not knowing if we would get a ticket. There was no contact from vartio

Apartment was clean and walking distance to the city centre. Apartment block also have a lift/elevator. Good Wi-Fi.

First of all, to check in you need to pick up the key in another location which is about 1km from the apartment. Which can be quite hard if you have loads of bags or small kids or any mobility/disabilities issues specially with the weather conditions. We asked if they could meet us at the apartment with the keys and they said no. The apartment doesn't have any instructions on how to use the sauna. It doesn't seem to be possible to turn the heater on at will. It seems to only turn on at specific times so it can be a bit cold inside. The post says it's a double bed, but it's in fact 2 single beds. Quite different from a double bed. The bed is very uncomfortable. The "mattress" is really thin, about 2 fingers thick. The pillows are also too small and thin (see pictures). The hosts also request you to wash the dishes and take out any rubbish. Which is a bit much, when cleaning is already party of what you're paying for and you shouldn't be expected to figure out how their recycling scheme works. Also, there's a 5 hour gap between check-in and check-out which is plenty for them to do it themselves. These were also not disclosed in the policies or anywhere before you book it. Check-in is quite late for such an early check-out (5 hours difference). Their sofa bed is not a full-size sofa bed, so can only fit a very small child. Overall, for the price, I would rather spend a bit more and get a better place. At this time I can't recommend it.

Property matches the pictures

We were given a code to access a key drop box. The drop box was not close to the property. The booking confirmation had the wrong code. We arrived at 10pm and could not pick up our key. It took until around 10.30pm before we got the correct code and were able to get the key to gain access to the property. It was around -20 Celcius outside.

1. Staff is not responsive at all. We arrived the key office at 4pm. No one is inside but we are told to go to the office to pick up the keys. We texted them but no prompt reply. As it is cold outdoor, we walked quite a distance to go indoor to wait and call them. They didn’t give us the key box number and pin until we called them. We walked back quite a distance to the key office to open the key box. 2. The fridge is smelly. 3. We are requested to take the rubbish out but we are not told about where to throw the rubbish. 4. The toilet is not cleaned as attached picture. looks like some urine on it.
