Spiral stairs to loft bedroom was OK but might be a challenge for some.

It’s very comfortable and close to restaurants, supermarket, Sprouts, park, zoo etc. the bathroom is spacious. We are happy with our stay.

The facilities in the room are great. However, pots and pans are probably originally non stick but they have many scratches on them so we cannot use them.

Warning! This is not a 2 bedroom. It is a one bedroom with a loft. The loft is at the top of a narrow spiral staircase that is not appropriate for larger adults or older adults with joint issues. There were a lot of flies and they BITE. We left after 1 day, could not stay here any longer as the loft did not work for us. Neither booking.com or the owner would address our concerns about the false listing, or about the safety issues (no direct egress to the street is a fire hazard). Will not stay here again or use booking.com again.

The beds were extremely comfortable. I couldn't wait to go to sleep. I liked the open kitchen floor plan. The bathroom was a good size and the shower issue was very good. We appreciated that you provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Having a garage was a great bonus. It was also very helpful having a water filter in the refrigerator that we could use to fill up our water bottles. We loved having laundry in the unit and the fact that you provided detergent and dish washer soap. There was great communication with the owner. She even had someone bring us beach towels when I reached out with a request.

There is very minimal furniture in the bedrooms. There was a large armoir in each bedroom, but a dresser with drawers would have been better. It made it a little difficult to unpack or suitcases. We just kept them on the floor and had to bend down to get our clothes. There were 3-5 flies that were buzzing around the kitchen that were so annoying. We tried to kill them and got a couple, but wished for a fly zapper.

Quiet location nice view

This unit was a GREAT place for us to stay. Though not as close to the beach as we normally have stayed, it was just about a 15 minute drive to get to Ocean Beach and Dog Beach where we spent most of our time while at the water. Was close to Balboa Park and a short drive to places like the Gas Lamp District and Little Italy. All in all, a very well positioned place during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

If you come with one vehicle, make sure to ask what length of car will fit in the garage. If we had brought our van, it would not likely have fit. If you are meeting someone for a weekend away with more than one vehicle finding the extra parking on the street is doable but it takes a bit of time to search out a spot. Probably best to appoint one vehicle for getting about (if that is an option, and finding a parking place you can leave the other for a couple of days… just be sure not to leave car on the street when the street sweeper comes!

Not enough counter space in bathroom. And need hooks for hanging clothes and perhaps another towel bar
