Baleau Villa

The location was perfect, the beach was just a 5 min walk and so was the supermarket. The apartment was standard but it had all the facilities we required for our short stay. The owner was just a call away in case we needed anything which was also great!

Parking is a bit tight but this isn’t a major issue

Very good location. 100m of the main street, quiet place to sleep. Shopping across the street. Good variety of restaurants in walking distance. Beach is very near. The appartement is clean (and gets cleaned), room and toilette/shower have a good size, kitchen is small (means: cleaning the dishes, has to be done by one person, which was me!), but has everything you need for a holiday.

SECURE ENVIRONMENT, CLEANLINESS, KINDNESS OF THE OWNER AS WELL AS THE MAID, THE LOCATION WAS IDEAAL FOR THE BEACH AND , SUPERMARKETS AS WELL AS LOTS OF RESTAURANTS.

BUIDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN THE OPPOSITE ROAD SO WAS A BIT NOISY DURING THE DAY.

Extremley clean compared to other places we stayed on the island that even had a higher rating. So close to the beach, cheap food and supermarket opposite. Easy access to grand baie as well. If you are young the nightclubs Safari and oh my god are walking distance. Ground floor was nice with easy access. Owner organised and helped us through a cyclone which hit the island when we had no where to go. Any request we made was catered for. At the end of the day , you dont come to this loveley island and stay in hence for us complete luxury is not an issue. Cleanliness, functioning air con and comfy beds, supportive proprieter is all you need.

Three-storey building housing several holiday flats set in a lush green garden. Located in a quiet residential area on a side street 3 min from Pereybère beach. We were lucky to be given the spacious top-floor apartment which is bright and airy (windows going to all sides) and has a large terrace with a nice view of the garden. The owner and the housekeeper are very nice and responsive. Fast wi-fi. Parking space available. Good value for money.

The bed in one of the two bedrooms is a bit rickety, and some of the bathroom fixtures could do with an upgrade (difficult to adjust waterflow of the washbasin tap).

Great Location - 4 minutes by walking to the beach and 4 min to the supermarket. Nevertheless quiet - no noise from the beach (and it can be very annoying, especially on weekends!) or main road. The apartment was very spacious - it can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people. Very clean! The cleaning ladies are very motivated and the owner put a lot of attention to cleanliness. Possibility to wash clothes free of charge. If you are lucky, you'd catch up with the owner, who occupies the apartment in the upper floor and he would cook for you - a very friendly guy and an excellent cook. He also gives barbecue parties to his guests from time that time - I didn't experience one, but saw pics 🥳 The place is mostly booked by retired people from Europe, so is generally quiet. Good wifi, although it tends to get slow if you work with big amounts of data (I did, as I worked remotely).

The property is not in the best condition from outside (renovation planned in the next months). Don't expect a good view or a beautiful garden full of tropical plants - the view will be over the half ruin of a building opposite to the property. For some reason the cleaning ladies didn't accept the idea of hand towels, I never got one. After having asked a couple of times, I gave up. The only huge towel I got was not easy to change - either there were no dry ones at the moment or for whatever other reason. There is an improvement potential there.
