New Orleans Apartment

Rooms were fabulous as was the food and the staff

The location was great in the middle of Thamel. The apartment was a bit smaller than expected and the traditional windows were letting a lot of cold wind in, so much that everyone in my party got sick with the flu. There is a small kitchen where you can cook your food if you do not wish to always eat out. To wash your dishes, you will have to use the bathroom sink though, which is small and a bit awkward to move a frying pan around. The food at the restaurant downstairs was great, the manager and the staff were excellent, they helped us bring our luggage up and down the stairs (kind of scary as they are narrow and tall), they booked us taxis when it was time to leave and were generally very nice. Weirdly, one night a guest from another apartment managed to enter our apartment at 2 in the morning giving me a scare since I am a female and was sleeping in the single bed in the living room just next to the door. The stuff apologized but it shouldn't have happened as all keys should be different, right?

We stayed during the weekend and there was live music 2 or 3 nights. The group was good so I did not mind too much. The pub closes at around 11 pm but there is a club close by and you can hear their loud music until 3 am. When breakfast starts at around 8, music at the restaurant starts again so if you are not a music lover, it could bother you quite a bit.

The apartment is above the New Orleans Garden restaurant that has an extensive menu to suit all tastes. It's tastefully decorated, minimalist and authentic in design. Spacious and comfortable; a rare pleasure.

The staff are incredibly helpful and even allowed us to store our luggage for two days while we were away from the city."

The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. They make you feel right at home. Cant go wrong with this place
