Lodge Cabin with Fabulous Views - Farm Holiday

The property was nice, in a great area for some stunning walks with the dog which is exactly what we wanted. It’s peaceful and is in close distance to Stranraer for any shops. It was nice to have the sheep and new lambs as our neighbours for a while! They came over to see us a few times. Everywhere was clean and we had the double bed option and it was comfortable. It was also easy to find and was a nice drive there as well.

We were just unlucky with the weather at the lodge, the wind was crazy and lasted the majority of our stay, but there is nothing anyone could have done about that! What that did however highlight is the windows and doors. When it was really windy we could hear the window at the rear door moving slightly and there was a draft as it was moving the blinds. The noise was quite loud in the bedroom as well, something was knocking against the side with the wind, like cables or something, and it was loud at the window as well for the wind. It would have been nice to have curtains. There weren’t any, only blinds, and it would have just made it a bit cosier at night with them, maybe help with the wind noise too.

We loved it all

Views amazing even tho weather wasn't the greatest. Lodge warm and comfortable, peaceful and great wether your a walker or just able to lounge all day. Perfect kitchen if you like to cook, everything you need.

Staggering shower as water runs out fairly quickly and the floors were very fluffy and feathery under bed in main room and just a slight thing lying on the main bed pillows and looking up under the rails lots of cobwebs. Anyway already booked for a family members 40th anniversary so yes all good otherwise.

The views were spectacular and it was great value

It was a perfect cabin to use as a base for our first trip to Scotland. Fantastic views across the Sea in a cosy and clean cabin. The facilities within the cabin are fantastic, especially the beds that are exceptionally comfortable.

Nothing. If I wanted the luxuries of a 5-star hotel, I would have booked one.
