El Faro Apartaments

Good location, everything functional in the apartment.

The entrance to the building was the only issue, full of pigeon shit, and leaving the building was sometimes like playing minesweeper to avoid pigeon bombs, other than this issue everything was good!

The location was super nice, being on the balcony right in the centre was wonderful. We walked everywhere, it’s centrally located. The bed is very comfortable and the AC works super well, which is important in Spain.

It can be a little loud outside but to be fair it was a European championship finals and Spain won! Which was actually an amazing thing to be right on the center of the celebration!

Exceptional location, right in the heart of the historical centre of Tarragona. Close to the key parts of history and well preserved.

Nothing really, even staying in the busy placa de la font this did not present any issues with our stay during the week.

The location of the property was excellent. We sat at the little Juliette balcony every night. It’s very close to all of the Roman sites (about a 3 min walk to Circ Roma) and also a short walk to a Spar and Carrefour. It’s very safe and accessed through a large locked gate so would be perfect for any solo travellers also. It has Aircon which works well! We really liked the property and would recommend to other young couples. Cristina, our host, was lovely and recommended lots of lovely places for us to eat and have very clear instructions on how to get into the property.

We stayed on the 4th floor and we had a small 10kg bag with us but it was still a bit awkward getting it up and down the stairs as they are very narrow. I think people would struggle if they had a heavy or large 20kg bag. There is no lift, which was fine for us, however if you are elderly or maybe have some mobility issues I can see it being a struggle as the stairs are steep and very narrow. Also you must take ALL of your rubbish with you to a neighbouring street to dispose of. It wasn’t a massive inconvenience as there was just two of us but again if you are older or have a young family I can see this being an inconvenience.

We stayed in the apartment in April 2024, everything was fine. The wonderful hostess Christina, very pleasant and polite, told us everything and recommended a huge number of places. The location of the apartments is good, the view from the window overlooks a beautiful square and is close to a variety of attractions.

The downside is that there is a small window and there is a little insufficient natural light in the room (the lamps compensate for this) and due to the lack of light the room is cool. But there are heaters that have helped a lot. The only drawback for me was that the entrance to the apartment is located in a narrow alley, in which there are a lot of pigeons. And these birds are very dirty and unpleasant, they just sit above the gate that you need to open to get into your door. They dirty everything around them and they are very loud, you can hear them even in the bathroom. This does not apply to the apartments, but to the location. This turned out to be very important for me.

Excellent location

Amazing central location and very modern, high quality apartment overlooking the plaza. The buzz of the plaza very quickly becomes white noise and you feel very chic having a coffee on the small balcony (room on the balcony for 1 only!). We had a lovely time here.

Only downside is we had to switch off the fridge for sleeping each night as it was noisy.
