Luxurious and quiet retreat, with all the comforts of home

Lovely accommodation, the bed was extremely comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Stuart was very welcoming. We can thoroughly recommend Finchden Barn and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Lovely place, great hosts, warm and cozy, perfect location

Stuart and his wife and daughter at Finchden Barn are SO friendly, kind and helpful. The accommodation is beautiful. Spacious, comfortable and so well appointed. Gorgeous oak beams and heavy embroidery curtains. The kitchen is very user friendly, and while the bathroom is small, it is functional and attractive. There is lots of light. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The accommodation is immaculately clean. Despite the age of the property and the fabrics, I didn't meet a single spider! The area is so pretty, with lots to see. I felt so at home here and simply didn't want to leave! I will be back! Thank you so much.

I would have loved access to the garden or more private outside space but there is a little area in the driveway with two lovely wooden seats which I availed of.

Characterful and comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and an overwhelming choice of dvds!! Questions to the hosts were quickly answered and dealt with.

Very creaky stairs! Not so great if needing to go from the downstairs bedroom to the bathroom in the night! Also, no hairdryer (that we could find).

This is the 3rd time my sister and I have stayed while visiting family. The location is excellent, and the selection of DVDs is brilliant. Everything was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The host, Stuart, is very friendly and always ensures everything is OK.

There isn't anything that I could say I didn't like.

Extremely comfortable stay and excellent facilities in this well converted barn. It was quiet and warm and the whole process was straightforward from beginning to end. We particularly liked the large, square coffee table for playing board games…!

We had a fantastic 3 nights at the Barn and throughly enjoyed the very rustic and quirky character. The screen separating the upper bedroom was unusual to say the least, the beds were really comfortable and the top quality bedding used was superb. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge and furniture was spacious and extremely comfortable, the location was great for touring that side of Kent and we enjoyed the quietness change from where we live. Whilst it’s not far to walk into Tenterden be aware there is no footpath for the first few hundred yards which is fine in the summer but in autumn/winter it’s probably not something we would advise, we did walk in, but took a taxi back. (Beware!!! Uber taxis do not operate around there) All in all a great place and great value.

A couple of points worth noting. The stairs creak so trying to be quiet going to the loo in the night is unlikely😀 and whilst the shower is nice and large the area of the loo is quite compact. Both guys in our party Found it a little restricted especially when the heating was on as the radiator was next to the loo.

Everything. Nicely setup, decorated & organised, with access to everything you’d need, no matter how long you’re staying.
