Topazio - Pool & near the center by HD PROPERTIES

Location was as described which was a 15-20 minute walk from the marina and in a residential area so it was nice & quiet. There is a Spar supermarket below the apartment building with a great choice of products. The pool & garden area is lovely & very well maintained.

When we arrived & were getting ready for bed we noticed that the bedlinen on the double bed had not been changed over from the previous inhabitants prior to our arrival - there were dark hairs all over the sheet & one of the pillows was stained & absolutely filthy. (I did take photos). As it was almost midnight at this stage I sent a text message to advise of this issue - this message was never replied to. Prior to travelling I asked if sun loungers were provided at the pool & I was told yes they were. I further enquired as to whether there were any sunbed mattresses on them but I was told that no mattresses were provided. We decided to go ahead with our reservation anyway & agreed that we'd buy blow up lilos to fit on the sun loungers when we got there but on arrival we discovered that there are no sun loungers for guests use - the only sun loungers around the pool area are owned by residents of the apartment complex & they are chained up so we had to sunbathe on the ground which wasn't ideal as 2 of the ladies have ongoing back issues. There is a "code" used to open the gate to the pool area which was given to us when we checked in. We found however that the pool area was much busier than we expected it to be & one of the residents in the apartment complex was able to explain why............this code is widely known and passed around so that locals know the code & unlock the gate & let themselves in to use the pool. Apparently to put a stop to this moving forward, the residents will some time in the future be issued with a fob & hopefully that will resolve this issue. With regard to the soiled bedlinen I did get a message from the letting agents 2 days after we arrived home and they apologised and indicated they were told not to change the sheets from someone at the property

Apartment itself was very good. It is spacious and can easily cater for up to 4 adults. Well equipped with good quality furniture and utensils and very clean. Beds comfortable.

The property is advertised as Topazio -pool and near centre. I think this gives a false impression. While the property has a pool it is not user friendly. There are no sun loungers available to people in this apartment. When I questioned this I was firstly told 2 sun loungers had been left out for us. We used two that were unlocked the next day but had disappeared the following day. When this was raised again and after another false promise I was told to spread my towel on lawn area. Also central location is stretching it somewhat. Walk to beach is 35 minutes (ok in October but onerous in high season) and to Marina 30 minutes. We walked in and got a taxi out. Taxi fare average was 6 Euro. There is no reception or representative on site and correspondence was with a letting agent.

15 min walk from the Marina. Tennis and paddle court near by. Supermarket, cafe/bar on your door step.

Sun loungers at the pool locked up. Not enough wine glasses. Only one and broken. Would have been nice for a cleaning cloth and cleaning spray.
