Meliridos Apt Corfu Town

Excellent location close to shops, supermarket and restaurants, easy to get to the bus stops. The room is also spacious and well equipped, hot water, good air conditioning and wi-fi. Instructions to find the lock box with the keys were also well detailed.

There could be a shelf in the shower to place our belongings. I was a bit afraid of the stairs according to other reviews I read. They are steep (what could be a problem to people with mobility limitations) but seemed to be a bit renewed. A big problem was with the lights: the automatic lights of the corridor only turn on after a certain spot and they turn off very fast, so depending on the hour of the day you need to have the light of your mobile phone on. Also, the lights of the apartment only turn on if the key is placed on the wall. As the apartment is very dark, it happens that one cannot lock/unlock the doors without light, which means that, again, you need the light of your mobile phone independently of the hour of the day.

The apartment was lovely, very well kitted out, with washing machine and clothes drying equipment which was much appreciated as this was one stop of a longer trip. The apartment is situated in the heart of the old town, very atmospheric and with lots of amenities on "your doorstep", from tourist attractions to supermarkets, to restaurants, including some very good offers for vegans.

The staircase from the street to the flat was very poor. It was not well built, with both depth and rise of steps varying, and there was no light in the hallway, until you got up to the apartment, which was too late as you were already up there!

It was right in the centre , foodmarket bars and restaurants. Lovely area.
