A Cosy Studio in the City Centre

The flat is quite and comfortable. It is very well located.

Great location. Smooth communication with the host. Detailed instructions for self check-in and check-out. Good equipment (small kitchen including tea and coffee, wifi with easily visible password, hair dryer with diffuser, air purifier...). Perfect for couples or solo travellers.

Location close to the old town, good initial price, tidiness of the room.

I don't know excatly how these things works in Slovakia, but the owner didn't register us as guests (didn't ask for documents) for three nights. She did however collect the turist tax which was 21 EUR. You might check to whom you should pay this tax, I think that in private acommodations the guest should register himself and also pay tax directly by himself. I don't know who got my tax afterwards.

Considering the place and the value, it was a good choice.

I loved everything about this place, except the fact that I had to message the owner a few minutes before arrival in order to be let in. The thing is (and strange though it may sound) not everyone has a mobile 'phone with roaming options when abroad. It isn't always easy to send a message in a foreign country in a place without Wifi (outside the apartment building). Another nuisance was that the actual owner was in England, the only contact number being supplied being a British one. The one who let me into the property was her mother. Why not keep things simple and simply be there at the agreed time, tell me which doorbell to ring and open the door when the bell is rung? Tired of a society where everything needs to be done with apps and phones all of a sudden. Anyway, this is a very minor point. I was happy in the apartment. The kitchen was good, the shower great, the bed very comfortable. It should also be mentioned that the room is damp. The mother pointed me to a dehumidifier which I had to keep running in order to prevent excessive dampness.

Close to the city center, cozy atmophere. Perfect for a couple.

It's not the apartment's fault, but you can't really shower with hot water, and the water pressure is really low. You have to wait minutes until it becomes warm. But I guess it's true for the whole building, and it's only a small mistake.
