Vredehoek Guest Farm

Beautiful setting in the heart of the ceres Mountains overlooking widespread vineyards and breathtaking views. The accommodation was very well equipped for a getaway and the checkin process was easy. Really enjoyed our stay and getaway there.

Everything was perfect.

Amazing accommodation on a working wine and fruit farm. The view from the patio is breathtaking and the place is quiet and peaceful. The unit has everything required for a holiday stay with a fully equipped kitchen and indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The walking trails on the property are a great way to see the farm and get some exercise. There is plenty to do in the area with restaurants and wine tasting close by.

Please make provision for additional blankets in winter.

Luxury accommodation with views for days! Had everything we needed and more. [P.S Adding a hot tub would have made it even more special - especially on colder days ;)]

We loved the tranquility of being up in the mountains - The views were stunning!! The guest house was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The guest farm is surrounded by many good wine farms and lovely restaurants. Really good value for money 💰.

We found the room lay-out a little odd - but then this is a large farmhouse.

What a weekend! The chalet we stayed in was nicely sized for 2-4 people, and perfectly equipped for a self-catering stay (including TV and WiFi). Sauvignon Blanc chalet had aircon, which was a lifesaver in the summer heat. There is also an indoor fireplace which will be great in the winter. The farm is nicely removed from busy roads and surrounded by some of the most stunning views. The view from the chalet's stoop is likewise beautiful, and there are lovely walks on the farm that aren't too long or strenuous. Well situated for visiting all the wine farms from Tulbagh to Rawsonville. The hosts were eager to please, and communication was spot-on. Since we were there during the summer harvest season, we were gifted a small bag of their delicious yellow cling peaches which was a lovely gesture. We simply didn't want to leave! We will recommend a stay here without any hesitation, and will definitely be back :)

The bed was a bit hard, but not too bad

Nestled in a secluded mountain valley. Spectacular views and an immaculately maintained lawn allow for you to unplug from the city and relax in style. The house is well laid out with enough rooms for several couples or a big group of friends. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are multiple bathrooms allowing many people to shower etc simultaneously. While the owners live in close proximity, we didn’t hear or see them, despite playing our music loudly. This gave us a feeling of being alone, despite the presences of others on the farm. We loved making a bonfire and watching the sunset and sunrise from the deck. The hiking trails are also great, and if it gets hot you can swim in one of the dams. Phenomenal experience overall

No cleaning staff overnight to neaten, clean and take away trash

The location was superb as the house was nestled between the mountains. The fact that the house was so big and that it could accommodate the whole family made it very special as we hardly ever have the whole family together. It was such a lovely family holiday.

I enjoyed the stay and can't say there is anything I didn't like.
