The Annexe at Yew Tree House

Nice rural spot in Kent not far from Canterbury on farmland . Pubs and eateries are a drive away.

The Internet was non-existent despite the connection being there.. oh well : get offline for a night :)

Perfect for what we needed. We stayed one night. Very clean, quiet location.

Self contained apartment

Ground floor level smelt dampish and access - those single track ever narrrowing roads were tricky but advance info would have eased the journey (btw) we’re seasoned travellers.

Stayed one night on route to Europe. Lovely location and almost everything we needed. Comfortable bed. We had good instructions how to get to the accommodation. It is a remote location, and we were glad we stopped in Canterbury to buy groceries for a meal in the evening.

Would be great if it was clearer where the entrance of the accommodation was. This was not in the otherwise comprehensive instructions. We arrived in daylight but at night you would struggle. There was coffee, tea and cereal but no milk. We forgot to buy this, so would have been great if this was there.

We needed somewhere last minute when we decided to extend our stay in Kent. Anna was very accommodating and the Annexe was ideal - good value and had everything we needed for a couple of nights. It was peaceful, well equipped and the bed was super comfy. There was parking and a lovely setting. We enjoyed a beautiful walk through the bluebell woods and over fields to Stelling Minnis.

Not a negative necessarily but bear in mind that it is in the middle of nowhere down narrow country lanes so make sure you take provisions or be willing to drive out to a pub nearby to eat. We would have liked a small patio set so we could sit outside, but those in the garden area were dilapidated and need replacing.
