Benoch Lomond Castle

The location was excellent. Liz who was the receptionist really attempted to make our stay better due to our disappointment at the lack of hygiene within the apartment. Liz's warmth and friendliness did enhance our experience.

The hygiene standards were very poor, dirty towels left on the balcony, used tissues in the draw, opened box of chocolates in the wardrobe. The towels for showering very damp and thus smelt very musty. Sadly, this was a treat for my parents-in-law and husband. We shortened our stay and checked out earlier at increased additional cost to enjoy the remainder of our weekend.

Fantastic location, and very comfortable apartment. Staff were attentive and addressed a minor problem quickly and efficiently.

Excellent location. Has on-premise direct access to Loch Lomond and own rocky beach & small jetty. Connected to Duck Bay area. Very close to Balloch / Aleandria for groceries in Southward direction and close to Luss 10min in north direction. Cable TV a bonus!

Brilliant sunny weather but was quite hot in the mid afternoon. No fans nor air conditioning. Only heating. Unit 18 was upstairs & no lift, we weren't aware. Abit of a struggle to carry suitcases up the stairs as we came from overseas with our luggage. No toiletries (shower gel, shampoo) provided, explanation given is about allergens.
