Hodge Bower Holidays, Ironbridge - Blakemore

The apartment was lovely and had everything you needed. Bit of a hilly trek when you need to go somewhere, but I knew that when booking. Sarah was very helpful when I told her the iron was broken.

We went for a rest as we normally go on non stop city breaks. We left a day early as the noise from the apartment above and sound proofing was non existent. We barely slept due to constantly hearing people walking about and banging. Not their fault as they wouldn't have known. We were whispering all weekend as we were aware we could hear every word. When the cleaners came in the mornings the noise upstairs was horrendous. The owners really need to think about soundproofing, we can't be the only ones that have suffered from the noise. I felt my telling Sarah fell on deaf ears, I could tell we weren't the only ones to say anything. If it were sorted the stay here would be perfect!!!!

The property is in a lovely area, picturesque views very close by. It was on the ground floor which is an advantage. The open plan layout was great although there could have been a bit of improvement on the garden area and the equipment in the kitchen could have been a little more generous. There was designated parking although the occupants of another apartment parked in our space when we went out. This could have been because they did not see the names in front of the space in the dark and we were able to park in their space so no harm done. Overall it was fairly good value for money

The only real problem was the road to and from the property is a bit tight and lots of sat nav errors and while I fully understand that there is nothing the owners can do to rectify this, it is worth noting for future occupants for information

Unable to use the shower as the button wouldn't lift up, which we reported and was acknowledged, so shouldn't be an issue going forward

Felt shabby. The complimentary coffee was unusable. A small amount which was all stuck in the bottom of the jar. No sound proofing, upstairs was unbelievably noisy. You have a designated parking space, but we had a 3 ton truck in ours.

The location and the apartment layout are great!!!
