139 On Peninsula - The ideal retreat 2 Bedroom Apartment

The View

Too much in the rooms. Under a house. Bad entrance stairway. Was not at all what we were expecting.

Great view of the lake, ( planes fly across the lake, but they don't fly all night or too early) not to far from queenstown centre

Stunning views. Plenty of teas, coffee, milo, sugar and small bottle of milk. Bottle of bubbles and block of chocolate on arrival. Fluffy bathrobes. Good selection of pillows and blankets. Friendly and easy to communicate with host.

Impractical small kitchenette, too much furniture/decor for small apartment. Flat surfaces taken up by nic knacks, no room for your own objects. Proper dining table rather than desk would be more useful. Not enough usable storage for clothes, especially if skiing. Strong cat urine smell at front door. 2 flights of steep, not entirely level, poorly lit stairs. Not so much an apartment, more converted area under main house. New bed needed in master. Very small for a 2 bed apartment that could house 4 adults. We were only 3 adults, and an extra person would have made our stay even more uncomfortable. Was very clean, just too cluttered by oversized furniture.

Location and lakeside view are both excellent. Host was very kind. We didn't feel like we needed anything else on our stay there.

Beds felt old, the lids on the water bottles on the room had some oxide on them.
