The room had one bedroom when it advertised two(the second"bedroom"is the living room. The place was dark with poor lighting, the condition of the unit was inferior, other than the bathroom. Because there was one bedroom with the AC unit, one person was hot as the other was cold. The "bedding"in the living room was uncomfortable. The area seemed dangerous and needed multiple locks ending with padlock for security.

In case it's not clear from the pictures, this is a ground floor apartment at the back of a 3-story building. There are no windows to the outside (e.g., no view). There is light into the kitchen from an air shaft and a large sliding door off the bedroom to a small inner courtyard. Hence the apartment is dark. We booked it last minute when there were limited options available. The apartment is spacious and functional. There are good restaurants, a bakery and grocery store all within a short walk. The sea is just a few blocks away. The host was very attentive about our arrival time and check-in was very easy.

The apartment is threadbare and rather dirty. The towels are ragged and old, the rugs in the bathroom are filthy, the sheets were synthetic and old. The kitchen sponges, which I view as the "canary in the coal mine," were filthy and worn, and should have been thrown out long before. The owners did bring us a new one when we asked. There were no towels. When we inquired over WhatsApp, we were directed to find some in the credenza. We found a couple of well-worn towels. I am not against old things, but there is a big difference between old and well-cared for and ragged and not suitable for paying guests. Unfortunately, the latter was our experience here. We wouldn't stay there again.
