Artful Lodging & Retreats

The host was very welcoming and friendly. The room was actually like an apartment and very nicely appointed. Everything was very clean. Downtown Montpelier was a 3 minute drive away. The host gave us great tips on nearby swimming holes and fun places to visit.

There was a bit more road noise than I expected.

Breakfast not included But Beth, our host, left breakfast food at our door to our surprise. The very lovely two -bedroom apartment was large enough to easily accommodate up to six people. Cleanliness throughout was evident and the peony fragrance was just another welcoming touch. The kitchen was set up with a Keurig , beautiful china and flatware and more and more. Indeed home away from home. Your stay at Artful will be worth the cost AND Artful is extremely close to the state's capital with its magnificent gold-leaf dome. This is a fabulous rustic jewel. OH! before I forget the sunset on the property will astound you. Also John, brother to Beth, kept us guided and he didn't have to. Our stay at Artful was excellence personified. Plan that trip to Montpelier and stay at Artful Lodging and Retreats. IT WILL WOW YOU!.

This capital city lacks taxi service, but Uber is available. This is beyond the host's control.

The house is very sweet and the host, Beth, extremely helpful!! The location is great--walkable to downtown.

I loved the view and that it wasn’t a hotel

She left some boxes of cereals, canned soup, crackers, tea, Keuring coffee pads. Nice touch. Beautiful view.

Montpelier is a quaint Vermont town and the location is not bad. Coming by train and being car less, the somewhat strenuous walk to get downtown made me think the property would be more enjoyable with a car.
