City View Apartment

The apartment is very spacious and has a charming vintage decor. It was extremely clean and well-prepared. The bathroom was stocked with essentials like soap, shower gel, and toilet paper. The only thing missing was some kitchen napkins or a small paper towel roll, it may sound like a small detail, but it's something quite useful in practice. Even though it's on the 8th floor, there's an elevator. It's old, but it works just fine. There's a Carrefour supermarket just across the street, 2 minutes away on foot, very convenient if you need anything quickly. There's also a tram stop right in front of the building and a bus stop 4-5 minutes away, with direct connections to the city center and main attractions.

When we arrived, we had quite a scare. Although I had selected the estimated arrival time on Booking and arrived within that time frame, the host didn’t respond when I messaged for the access instructions. I called the listed number at least 10 times with no answer. We waited for over 20 minutes in front of the building entrance, constantly trying to get in touch. At one point, we seriously thought we’d been scammed and were about to leave to find another place, which would have been very difficult since it was already late, and we were far from home (about a 3-hour drive). Thankfully, the host eventually responded and apologized, explaining they had been away and hadn’t seen the calls. After that, the check-in went smoothly, but it would have been much better to avoid that stressful experience altogether. In the future, I recommend the host be more responsive to avoid risking cancellations. Also, while the apartment was clean, it is quite old and had a few maintenance issues: the bathroom door handle came off in my hand, two power outlets in the room didn’t work, the shower door is so worn out it doesn’t close properly and feels unstable, and the water drains very slowly, so there's a real risk of flooding the bathroom during a shower. The mattress was a bit too firm for my taste, though that’s subjective. At least the bed linen was clean. Lastly, while the listing says there is parking at the property, it’s actually just street parking. The spots right in front of the building are for residents with a permit, so finding a free space can be tricky and slightly stressful.

The location was great, the kitchen, rooms, and bathrooms were nice and clean. Having 1.5 bathrooms was great. Very nice and cozy apartment overall. There was an elevator, which was awesome since the apartment is on the 8th floor.

The sofa and chair in the living room had stains. Also, some minor issues, such as the bathroom door knob came off, the water in the shower was draining very slowly, and some electrical outlets were non-functional.

Good location, big, older building, large apartment with two bedrooms. Bed in the left bedroom was comfortable and I was able to make the room pretty dark with dim-out curtains (although not completely dark). My friend was in the other bedroom, he didn't complain about anything but in that room there are no dim-out curtains. The apartment was clean. Lot of space, everything is convenient. 25 minutes walk to the city center. There are cafes, shops and a bakery nearby.

Some problems that can easily be fixed: Shower drain was completely clogged, that we had to use the gum suction thing every time we took shower. In my room, the lights weren't working, and also lamps and outlets next to the bed didn't work. There was just one functional power outlet in the room.
