The Kiss Apartment

The stylish apartment is centered around Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" oil-on-canvas painting that was painted in the early 20th century. Although I'm not totally sure how Klimt relates to Timisoara (and I think the painting is exhibited in Austria), it was really nice and refreshing to see these kind of decorations, and to be honest I was unaware of the works of Klimt, so it was also a learning for me and a reminder to brush up my knowledge on 20th century painters. Flat is in close proximity of the city center (10 minute on foot), relatively close to the railway station (15-ish minutes, I suppose?) and has all the amenities one would reasonably expect. Definitely no complaints on this front. The host was very friendly (leaving us candies, sweets and beverages!) and the instructions on how to get to the flat were very clear and understandable. The check-in and check-out process was easy and straightforward. Thank you for everything!

Let me be clear: we had a great time overall, and I would generally recommend this place for anyone, but I think we all need to strive for excellence, and we would have the following improvement suggestions. The shower seems to be leaking at the corner of the shower. It's not uncontrollably bad, but anyway leaves a dessert plate-sized puddle after a long shower. At first I thought I was just clumsy, but it happened when I was extremely careful as well with the shower head, and then happened to my wife as well. Probably a small thing some caulking can take care of. Something that we found strange was a very strong scent permeating the flat. It wasn't a bad smell...it was fine...but it was very strong. Maybe the laundry perfume/fragrance for the bed sheets? That's our only guess. And last, at night it was too cold in the flat. I think this is primarily an issue in the winter, but anyway, a small portable heating unit would do wonders in the November-February axis. If this is not a common complaint, be my guest to ignore. I recognize these take a lot of place.

The accommodation was excellent. It is full of interesting details, and it's also very well located. Communication with the owner was good - he speaks Serbian. I highly recommend this place!

Our stay in Timisoara was amazing! Everything was perfect – the place was spotless, the location was very convenient, and we felt just like home. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!
