Tranquil Welsh Mountain Gem, Abertillery, Wales

Patricia was a fantastic host, nothing was too much hassle and we stayed with our 5 month old baby whom Patricia provided food, toys, bathing and bed equipment for him. I've never known a host as tentative and kind as Patricia!! She gave us a tour of the apartment and showed us the abundance of food for breakfast (cereals, porridge, eggs, bananas, bread, bacon, sausages and more!) and all of the kitchen/bathroom/household equipment to use during our visit. Everything was immaculately clean and we felt at home instantly. Patricia has literally thought of everything, such a thoughtful host! Thank you for a lovely break!!

We needed a shower non-slip mat but I imagine it was in the house somewhere, we just didn't find it. Patricia has thought of everything down to the finest details so it probably was there somewhere!

everything. Patricia went above and beyond. the place was immaculate, fully stocked breakfast. Patricia was generous with her time and with the food she provided for us. she supplied toys for the children. TV in bedroom and living room with access to Netflix and a huge dvd library to choose from. lots of literature left around on local attractions. I can honestly say the best experience we’ve had with a host. if you are travelling with 2 children under 10 this is an ideal place to stay.

highly recommended! Patricia went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. the kitchen is well equipped and plenty of food have been left for our breakfast. the accommodation is in great location - close to Abergavenny and Big Pit, and only half an hour drive from the Pen-y-Fan hiking trail.

Parking is a bit tricky but overall is okay

The location was great for accessing other main attractions and facilities. We stayed to attend Principality Stadium for a legendary event 'Clash at the castle' held in Cardiff. The place was well worth staying in contrast to over priced and less hospitable hotels within Cardiff itself!

There was nothing the family and I didn't like. My 10 year old said 'It was perfect' He loved that there were a range of toys and games to access and use.

Wow! What a wonderful host Patricia is. Superb attention to detail and so many thoughtful extras. We stayed here as a family of 3 and it was perfect for us. My son enjoyed the large sofa bed, games and chocolate buttons. We had plentiful supplies for cooked breakfast too! Comfortable bed and super clean apartment. Thank you so much Patricia for a wonderful stay - we shall be back! Highly recommended.

The host was amazing! She had thought of everything, she went the extra mile when meeting and greeting us and handing over the keys. The property was clean, comfy and like home from home. She had included everything you could ever think of needing. She was friendly and accommodating and checked up on us throughout our stay to ensure we didn’t need anything else. We can’t wait to stay here again! Would recommend this property to anybody thinking of booking! You will not be disappointed. See you soon tranquil Welsh mountain gem 🏖🏖🏖
