The Forest Chalet - Stunning Studio Apartment

Lovely well equipped apartment. Great location.

Great welcome from Jonathan and his family. They were kind enough to let us in early when we arrived on a motorbike in the rain! The studio is comfortable and well equipped and in a peaceful location with a view of hills and fields. It's only a couple of minutes walk to pubs and a supermarket and 15 mins walk to the seafront.

Lovely space. Everything was very comfortable. The bathroom/hot water worked out great.

Within 15 minute walk to main area of town. Very nice facility.

Dining table was uncomfortable.

Excellent location, a few minutes walk to the town centre yet really quiet road overlooking green hills.

Small but comfortable apartment with parking. Restaurants and bars in the centre of Ballycastle about five minutes walk away and the beautiful beach about 15 minutes walk. We got our breakfasts at Dolly's cafe, which was excellent - especially the eggs benedict. All in all, a great base for exploring the Causeway Coast.

The only slight negative is that the chalet was hard to find as it is part of another property. Some signage on the gateway or written directions might be helpful.

Everything we needed for a couple of nights. We could park right outside and Jonathan could not have been more helpful.

Lack of drawer space - besides tables too low with tiny drawers.

Booking.com gave me the wrong key lock code but host was friendly when i had to chap their door to get in

No washing up liquid to do the dishies Shampoo etc would be an added bonus

the location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from shops, bars and great restaurants. The chalet has good views of the forest which is ideal for an lovely walk. their are many attractions and scenic drives not too far away. we visited Carrick a rede bridge, the giants causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce castle, and the lovely harbour at Ballintoy....all well worth visiting. we visited in May and the weather was fantastic no rain and lovely blue skies ideal for taking photos of the great scenery. Ballycastle itself is a great town with lots of outdoor facilities a beautiful harbour and lovely wide clean beaches. The locals were very welcoming as were our hosts at the chalet. We ate out in the evening at the Cellar restaurant and the Anzac and the DIamond bars all of which did excellent meals. we particularly enjoyed the slow braised beef cheek and the pan fried chicken meals we had at the Cellar .

We only had a couple of minor issues with the Chalet. As we were staying for 6 days we found the lack of any drawers or shelves a bit awkward as we had to leave clothes in the suitcase or on the settee. There was a hanging rail which was good but some shelves or drawers would have helped.
