Great location in the old town. Beautiful house. We couldn’t have been happier.

Das Haus wurde ungeputzt übergeben und wies gravierende hygienische und funktionelle Mängel auf - so etwas habe ich als Vielreisende noch nie erlebt, und als u.a. Camperin bin ich ganz bestimmt nicht pingelig: es standen noch Geschirr vom Vormieter im Abtropfgitter, sowohl im Waschbecken als auch WC befand sich blaues Reinigungsmittel, Dusche mit Duschgelspuren an der Wand, Spiegel voller Zahnpastaspritzer, Töpfe am Boden Öl verschmiert, kein einziger Topf/ Pfanne ohne Rost im Inneren, die Bettüberwürfe, die wir Anfang April ( noch kalt nachts) benötigten waren modrig müffelnd und klebrig, so dass wir uns ekelten. Es befanden sich fremde Haare im Bett, so dass ich selbst nachts noch die Betten frisch überziehen musste, um dort überhaupt zu schlafen. Der Fernseher funktionierte ebenfalls während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht. Das schlimmste jedoch war für mich der Zustand des Kühlschranks: darin klebte Papier; er war insgesamt stark verschmutzt und ekelhaft verdreckt - an eine Nutzung zur Lebensmittelaufbewahrung war nicht zu denken.

s.o. Nach meiner Beschwerde war die erste Reaktion des Vermieters „it’s not his obligation“ und wir könnten gehen und uns etwas anderes suchen. Eine Unverschämtheit! Ist es etwa nicht seine Verantwortung die Wohnung auf Sauberkeit und Funktionalität zu überprüfen? Will man doch im Urlaub einfach nur ohne Stress ankommen. Er versprach mir eine % uale Rückerstattung für diesen unzumutbaren Zustand, zog aber Tage später bei Booking.com dieses Versprechen zurück, mit der Begründung er habe die Mängel behoben, was nicht der Wahrheit entspricht, TV, Kühlschrank im selben Zustand. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt war er weder telefonisch, noch über WhatsApp erreichbar. Der Vermieter bot zwar an eine Reinigungskraft vorbeizuschicken, jedoch ist es völlig unzumutbar, während eines laufenden Aufenthalts reinigen zu lassen. Eine ordnungsgemässe Reinigung hat vor der Anreise zu erfolgen, nicht danach. Ich kann nur dringend abraten, hier zu buchen. Für mich war das nichts andres als eine dreiste Abzocke. Diese Bewertung soll als klare Warnung für zukünftige Gäste dienen.

Highly desirable location in the middle of Old Town. Luxurious boutique hotel feel, clean, comfortable, gorgeous!

Narrow, steep stairs between floors. This is not for anyone with mobility issues.

Amazing place!! An absolutely perfect place to stay. Close to all interests of the old town of Chania, everywhere in town actually can approach by feet! Old harbour just few seconds away, nearest city beach only 10 minutes by feets. The accommodation is magnificent, the place full restored by the old Venice way!! Amazing anatomic bed, internet connection very fast, generally the place is full equipped and very comfortable!! Most importantly that despite that it stands in the most popular and busy spot of the old town is very quiet and sleeping is fabulous!! Highly recommended!! For sure i will be back during summer. I am absolutely satisfied!!

How would you ever have an opportunity to stay in an olde Venetian house? George’s house is wonderful : five floors with a room on every floor, furnished with antiques and other Interesting objects in the old town of Chania, but quiet and with all the mod-cons you want for a visit to Chania. We loved the space, sitting on the balcony for our breakfast, and being near everything without the noise and bustle of restaurants and bars ....

Everything ! I loved everything about this house. This one of a kind 400 year old home was so thoughtfully and lovingly designed and curated. The host/owner was as chic as the house! I wouldn’t hesitate to book this house. I plan to stay here whenever I’m in Chania.

The apartment is extremely well located, in the old town but in a very quite place. The apartment is full of charm and very well equipped. The host is very friendly and gave very good tips. Highly recommend!!
