Aelia Apartments

Sehr schönes, gut ausgestattetes und gemütliches Apartment in der Altstadt von Chania. Die Lage ist sehr gut um zu Fuß diese charmante Stadt zu erkunden. Darüber hinaus wird man sehr herzlich von Alexander empfangen, der sich auch über den Aufenthalt hinweg um einen kümmert. Er hat uns die griechische Gastfreundschaft näher gebracht und wir bekamen u.a. selbstgebackenen Kuchen.

Zum Wochenende hin war leider abends/nachts sehr laute Musik (Bass) zu hören, vermutlich von der Bar nebenan.

Aelia Apartments is a gem in the Old Town of Chania. The gated courtyard was safe, private, and a quiet garden refuge from the bustling city outside. The private balcony offered a breezy spot to sit and enjoy the green space below. The apartment was spotlessly clean and efficient with everything we needed for a week-long stay. The multiple windows let in the natural light and fresh air. The bed was comfortable, and the quiet neighborhood was so appreciated. The location was perfect with easy access to cafes, restaurants, the harbor, and the beach all on foot! Alexander is a kind, respectful, and attentive host who will make your stay a 5-star experience!

Perhaps a larger wardrobe for clothes storage during a long stay would be useful, but nothing else. It was pretty perfect!

Would highly recommend. A Clean, Fresh, comfortable apartment close to everything. Shops, sea, Beach, the port, the old town. The host was very friendly and welcoming.

Be aware, music on Friday and Saturday’s from a local bar from 10pm till 2am. We used gel ear plugs and did not have a big problem.

I had a wonderful stay in the apartment! It was perfectly located in the center of Xania and in the same time in a very quiet backyard. It was equipped with everything you need. Moreover the host Michalis who is living next balcony :-) welcomed me with true greek hospitality and was always available in case for any wishes. We had very nice talks and I truly enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend to stay here. And next time I will be again in Xania I definitely stay here again. Ευχαριστώ πολύ Μιχάλης, να περάσεις καλά! Καλή χρόνια!! Θα τα πούμε την επόμενη φορά.

The apartment was comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped, with literally everything we needed! The location was convenient, and the hosts were friendly and responsive.

Toplocatie, midden in de oude stad van Chania (volgens ons de leukste stad van Kreta trouwens!). Heel vriendelijk ontvangst door Alexander, met toelichting op het appartement en welkom met vers fruit, zelfgebakken koekjes en raki in de keuken van het appartement. Alles schoon en een goed bed met 2 kussens per persoon. Zit aan een afgesloten binnentuin met een heerlijk junglegevoel door de bananenboom en de zangvogeltjes in het kooitje op het balkon van de buren.

Het was iets krapper dan ik verwacht had naar aanleiding van de foto’s. En het balkon op de 2e verdieping (waar wij zaten) biedt nergens schaduw en is dus (zelfs in november) overdag eigenlijk te heet om op te zitten.

Great location – very close to the city centre, restaurants, cafés and bakeries. The host was extremely helpful, regularly checking if everything was okay and even treated us to homemade pastries and fruits from the garden. The apartment was clean, with enough space for two people, and had air conditioning. Despite being close to the centre, it was quite peaceful and quiet. Overall, the location was perfect.

There is a church nearby and on weekends you can hear the bells in the morning, although they are not very loud.
