It was extremely out of the way and I suppose if you wanted to stay a few days in solitude and nature it would be nice.

It was impossible to find and was so much further than expected, then apparently after 7pm was the cut off to arrive. Host was friendly, but in a condescending way.

Viajé con altas expectativas a La Casa Ecológica en Tepoztlán, pero creo que el único "eco" que encontré fue el de mi voz rebotando en las habitaciones vacías... porque ni huéspedes, ni personal, ni seguridad había. Desde el principio fue una odisea: las instrucciones en Google Maps no coinciden, preguntamos y básicamente nos dijeron que "pues así está". Señalización: cero. Y una vez que logras llegar, la puerta siempre está abierta. Literal. No es metáfora: abierta para el que quiera pasar, huésped o no. Muy "ecológico", pero también muy inseguro. Las camas huelen a cigarro. Intensamente. Como si alguien hubiera decidido fumarse su adolescencia completa ahí dentro. Con ese aroma y los perros agresivos que merodean protegiendo el terreno, decidimos que la mejor decisión era... no quedarnos. Porque hasta la valentía tiene un límite.

Preguntamos por el restaurante: "No hay mucho cliente, no vamos a preparar nada". Sin clientes, sin comida... sospecho que pronto también sin negocio. No hay wifi, pero tampoco servicio, ni amabilidad, ni siquiera un "disculpe". Eso sí, esperen cargos extra que mágicamente no aparecen en la página de Booking. He viajado a más de 20 países en América, Europa y Asia, y esto ha sido de lo más surrealista que me ha tocado. Así que si están considerando quedarse aquí, les sugiero pensarlo dos veces... o veinte. Mejor gasten su dinero en unas buenas nieves en el centro de Tepoztlán. Tengan cuidado. Las vacaciones son sagradas.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. Outside of town but easy to find with the hosts instructions. Ruth was very hospitable, very welcoming and gave me great recommendations for things to in the surrounding areas. The kitchen was great and there are good shops within 15-20 minutes walking distance. Beautiful place to stay, would love to come back!

Ruth was a lovely, kind and caring host and the location was just perfect - beautiful and tranquil.

The bed was uncomfortable which meant we barely slept during the week we were there.
