Folly Vacation Perfect Purple Palace Apt A

Great destination. Perfect distance to walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shops.

The rooms stayed very uncomfortable hot even with leaving all doors open only the living room area stayed cool

Great apartment in a nice location... convenient to everything in Folly! It was very clean, which was appreciated so much. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and the bedding was comfortable. A mini split unit (for heating and cooling) kept the apartment cool and relaxing. Nice TVs...apartment not lacking at all!

Having a washer and dryer is a must and even though these appeared to be newer appliances, the washer is very loud and left clothes too wet. I should have ran an extra drain and rinse cycle and the dryer took multiple cycles and still left with wet clothes in a trash bag, which no one has time for on vacation. Speed Queen is durable for use in a rental. Just the basics, no bells and whistles. Turn knobs last for a long time. (No, I have no stock in Speed Queen). Apartment is directly over restaurant and outdoor bar, which made the balcony a little noisy.

Location, the apartment was nice

Construction and noise from apartment above and there was not anyone to call after hours to do anything about it.

Excellent location and close walk to beach. Close to all bars and restaurants. Sit on balcony and listen to the bands. Because of Folly noise ordinance after 9:00, we didn’t have any issues with late night bar noises.

AIr Conditioner in bedroom wasn’t very effective.

We loved the space - 2 bedrooms, plenty of drawers and space for all of our stuff. The bathroom had plenty of towels - the shower had great pressure and there was a handheld that worked great for our toddler. They had a beach cart with 2 chairs that helped us get to the beach easily. Plenty of fans which served as a white noise and helped us sleep. Thursday night there was a band at the restaurant downstairs and we could hear them and enjoyed the music!

The air conditioning unit is in the main room so the bedrooms and bathroom were warmer even with all the fans to help circulate. There's construction going on very early right by the area to load and unload. We found nails and broken glass in the gravel you have to walk through to get out of the apartment.
