Peaceful & Central Self Contained 1 Bedroom House

After a nightmare journey on super busy roads, this property was a delight to arrive at. Tucked away behind large gates, we discovered a peaceful haven cleverly designed within and shaded by exotic plants and trees. The property features a spacious living room / kitchen, cool bedroom, bathroom, and a lovely shady patio. We've stayed in a number of other places in Glastonbury over the years, and this one is the best by some margin. The location is perfect - only a few minutes walk to the High Street, and within easy walking distance of all the places you might wish to visit in Glastonbury. The property had a power cut the morning after our arrival, and the owner had power restored within a couple of minutes after I'd messaged him via the booking.com app. The property also has a very comfortable brand new sofa bed in the living room. This was especially appreciated by my daughter who had booked into a different accommodation in Glastonbury, which turned out to be so dreadful that she rang us at 4am, and we were able to accommodate her with us.

We liked absolutely everything about this place, and we're hoping it will be available for our future visits to Glastonbury.

Good location, well organised, friendly host, and exceptionally comfortable. Peaceful outside space. Good off road parking.

Nothing not to like, there could be issues for people with mobility issues due to a number of steps to access and within the property.

We were warned by Andrew that we would need to use a bit of force when closing the back door. We managed to get it closed but then couldn’t get it open again the next day. Therefore we were unable to use the patio to have morning coffee. We messaged the host to ask him to see if he could open it but didn’t hear back from him. However, we did see him later in the day and he managed to get it open. The fact that we couldn’t lock this door was also a concern. Cobwebs and spiders were plentiful.

Quiet area but only a short walk to the town, lovely shaded patio area, really cute place, we called it our hobbit home!

Hard to find anything but some may like to know there’s no tv but that didn’t bother us at all!

Very relaxing and cosy

Nice, secluded property close to town. Everything you could want for the two of us. Liked the outside patio very much. Easy walk to the foot of the Tor.

The shower\toilet area was small but adequate. It is a short, uphill walk back from town.
