A beautiful estate and lovely rooms with everything you need!

The only downside was that the hot tub was too filthy to use and we don’t have much time to ask for it to be cleaned.

The tranquility and the quietness of the accommodation was really something we appreciated after coming from capetown where it was bustling! It also had a fully equipped kitchen and hottub!

It got a bit warm as it was peak of summer so sometimes being indoors was difficult, but still cooler than outside 42 degrees!

"This was a wonderful start to our holiday and helped us unwind and relax."

The location is perfect if you are looking for peace and quite and serenity and aweseom scenery on your doorstep, as well as a 5 minute drive into town. The grounds are well maintained and wonderful to walk around with the added benefit of "David's Bistro" where you can have breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. The most memorable part of our stay were the staff who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Sadly, during our stay the region was suffering from terrible fires which resulted in us being evacuated. The staff kept us informed every step of the way, helped us evacuate in a calm and professional manner and when the alternative accommodation they found for us also became threatened by the fires they found us yet another suitable place to stay on our final night. It was quite a stressful and worrying situation but we felt well taken care of and thankfully La Roche did not suffer and damages. I would highly recommend La Roche and all the staff.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful estate in Franschhoek! The setting is stunning: peaceful vineyards, mountain views, and such a relaxing vibe. Everything was spotless and beautifully designed. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. You really feel taken care of here. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy good wine, great food, and pure tranquility. We can’t wait to come back!
