Auszeit-Winterberg

The host, Steve, was super friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is located on a very quiet street at the edge of the town; 5 minutes walk and you are among trees and green fields. The view from the apartment is great. The neighbours are quiet. The apartment was clean and has all things you could wish for (things for cooking, big fridge and freezer, comfy bed, clean shower, good internet, etc.). I loved how the big windows open all the way to let fresh air in.

The sofa was a bit hard and uncomfortable. And the street is located on a hill (which I hadn't realized, that was my own fault!). This is no problem at all if you come by car, or if you have healthy legs and don't mind a little workout. If you are there by foot, you need to be aware that it is a little climb (sloped streets / steps) from the centre of town to this street. For me (by foot), it made trips to the supermarket a little harder, but it also meant a lovely green and quiet area.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. However, some things could be explained more clearly upfront, such as the remote control of the heating and the location of the lockbox for the keys.
