Super nice Location, stunning view, super clean, very friendly host

Amazing location with stunning sea views. Immaculate apartment with a well appointed kitchen with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The lounge area and courtyard garden are very nice. Breakfast was left for us and was delicious with plenty of choice. It was spotlessly clean and we were happy and revitalised after our stay we wished we could have stayed longer. We arrived tired after a long day hiking and the owner was very helpful to us. It was perfect and we can't recommend it enough.

No keys left out, no Lockbox. Door was left unlocked however this provided a security issue. We did not get to experience the property as we would have expected due to getting stopped suddenly on the road with the large fire north of Horseshoe lake before the Lewis Pass, so we arrived late and it was dark out. Didn't get to experience any of the facilities or amenities due to the issue we were shocked to discover in the bathroom.

The Host contact phone number on Booking.com was a disconnected number? The accommodation was in a residential house like Air BNB and was not secure, as the door was not locked, there was no Lockbox and someone had accessed the room and used the bathroom facilities and left the toilet in an unflushed, dirty condition, it appeared to be blocked with lots of toilet paper. We were shocked, but could not contact the Host as the phone number didn't work and it was late. We did not use the facilities and decided to leave and stay elsewhere, however we could not find alternative accommodation as it was late. We had been caught in the emergency fire 15 Feb and turned around so unable to access the Lewis Pass and were forced to drive back and go inland via the east coast, consequently we were very late arriving. We informed Host via Booking.com message system at Blenheim but the Host phone didn't work despite repeatedly trying to ring. The Host did not respond to all of our messages. We felt concerned about the security of the location and the state of the bathroom. We have requested a full refund. Most unfortunate and bizzare situation. Have suggested a Lockbox and CTV cameras for Host and Guest safety. The Host Christine could have avoided this by providing a locked, secure room. We were left feeling vunerable and disappointed by the room condition and the Host response the following day was poor and unsympathetic. Written complaint left with the Host but unaccepting of genuine concerns raised. Sorry this happened as we had been looking forward to this stay but it is not our fault that someone used the room facilities that we had paid for and left it in a dirty condition when a locked room would have been the simple solution. We trust the Hosts get these issues sorted out for future guests and get back on track. We sincerely wish them well.

Superb accommodations! Fantastic host. Best location looking over Stephens bay where our cruise of Abel Tasman departed. Best views over Tapu bay. Can't recommend enough!

Awesome views, warm and sunny, comfortable, great breakfast provided, quiet

The apartment was well situated with a great view from outside the apartment. It was extremely well fitted out and was very comfortable. The tariff included an excellent breakfast.

There were one or two issues with communication that could have been better.
