Apartamento Carlos V

Beautiful apartment in a superb location, opposite the Parador in the historic central square. Cafe next door and tourist information a couple of doors away were both helpful. Ana and Alvaro were delightful hosts and left a helpful booklet with tips for restaurants etc as well as a range of brochures and books. There were good bars and restaurants in the historic centre and good choices in the main town, a short walk away. Lovely walks in the area and good public transport, including the ferry across to Hendaye, taking you France in 7 minutes!

We had a lovely stay, with nothing not to like.

This is an utterly charming yet well appointed property in the heart of the old town. It feels like home from the moment you walk in the doors. The hosts are completely charming and communication with them was perfect at every stage. We would return in a heartbeat!

Location, bright interior, comfortable living area and bed, kitchen facilities - everything you would need on hand, great shower.

Gorgeous characterful property, furnished stylishly in a fabulous location

The owners of the apartment were so kind and generous with information and always there for us, and the location of the apartment was absolutely ridiculously perfect! The best restaurants right nearby, easy transportation to San Sebastian for a day trip for a little more action, we always look forward to coming back to the airy and beautiful apartment! Absolutely love taking a walk up to the Part of the El Camino Trail that went to the Guadalupe Church, the best

What didn’t we like? That’s the silliest question I’ve ever heard it was all perfect

The apartment is in a beautiful old building right on the square. Very comfortable and easy to be here several days. Well appointed so you could cook if you wanted. The location in the Old Town is is near the elevator taking you from street level to the square. Great bus access, too, to Donostia and other towns. Ana was very accommodating with our arrival and helpful with recommendations- especially with the bus to Donastia and must see sites in the different locations.

If you like to sleep late in the morning the you might prefer a place not on the main square. However, people eating at a restaurant or a car driving down the street are just normal village life.

Could have used more laundry detergent and toilet paper.
