Sydåbacka Guest House, a Room with a Sauna

Nicely located in the middle of nature. I was visited by several deer one day! Very nice host.

What a lovely country escape with a sauna! With a wood-burner sauna kiuas (heater), the sauna experience was superb, warm in just 20 min in June. The sauna nicely warmed up the beautiful large shower room and the adjacent room for sleeping. (Didn't need to light the fireplace or use the split heating system.) Plenty of nature around. Room had a comfortable bed, desk, kettle and fridge. Breakfast cup of coffee was enjoyed sitting at the table in front of the room listening to the birdsong all around. Fabulous experience.

Loved the personal touch of greeting me and checking if I needed anything even though it was 10pm! And that they thought of everything I might need. The views were stunning too. A wonderful haven to come back to.

Very friendly host and attentive to guest needs. Access to a sauna really makes for a great stay and is very near to nature. I also like the free coffee and tea in the room.

Not necessarily a fault of the host, the location is clearly advertised but if you don’t have a car, the last bus connection means you need to leave Helsinki around 3pm and walk another kilometre or so but if you plan in advance, it can be doable.

very cosy apartment with a nice sauna and super friendly hosts. we will come back when we are in Suomi again… :)
