Colonial cocoon studio

Désiré and Didier are such great host. They went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Voicing my wish to get to Le Morne Beach and asking how to get there was directly responded to with them organising their nephews to get me there and Didier to pick me up later. Even though I did not went because of heavy rain. Either way, Didier and Désiré are really unique and hart working people. With regard to the apartment, it was flawless as well. I had everything I need and all was nice and clean. A stay at Colonial Cocoon Studio is definitely worth it.

I knew it before booking, but just as a notification one should be aware that La Gaulette does not has a beach. This does not diminish the quality of the apartment itself, though. It is the perfect spot for a tour to Le Morne Brabant or Chamarel with the Chamarel waterfall and the Seven Colored Earth, for example.

The Supermarket is nearby! It is quiet and very confortable.

No Soap in the bathroom

Nice and cozy apartment, perfect for exploring the area. Great place to disconnect and recharge.

Thank you very much to the hosts! They are very hospitable and pleasant to communicate with. The apartments are clean, have everything you need to relax, a quiet place in the evenings. Very large and picturesque balcony!!)

Very clean & functional.

Close to beach but the beach is not for swimming at all.

Everything was great, the apartment is super clean and comfortable, AC working well, the area is calm, big shop and bus stop are just a few steps away. But the best part about this accommodation is the hosting family. I had a fantastic time, talking with Désiré and Didier, they really made me feel at home and were helpful in so many ways. Désiré even cut aloe vera from her garden to help me with ant bites :) I really recommend this place!

Nothing really, maybe just the location....La Gaulette is absolutely charming village, but it can be quite complicated to get to beaches or other places if you don't have a rental car. The hosts were really helpful to find a solution though, so not a big deal.

The owners went out of the way to accommodate us. They even showed us the area and assisted in having the scooter I rented to be exchanged, due to the first one giving problems. They are really great hosts.
