Tekapo Top 1000 Apartment

Big bedroom. Nice bathroom

The term apartment gave an impression that a full kitchen would be available. The term Apartments is misleading in my opinion. There was no microwave or counter to prepare food. We missed not having any area to prepare food or basin to wash dishes. We had to wash dishes in bathroom with no dish soap available. It was also strange with a side window right beside another unit’s kitchen which was very noisy. We needed to close the window and draw the curtain for privacy. Very hot with no fans. It was also expensive.

It was okay, out of the way! Smaller than expected. Clean! Easy to get keys

So much smaller than photos suggested, almost misleading in my eyes. Not as close to the lake as would have expected. To be honest a bit disappointed

Excellent location, close to Lake Tekapo and the main strip. A little walk, and you can have a beautiful view of the lake. Very calm area, specially if you would like to enjoy the tranquility of the night and star gazing on a clear day. Adequate facilities inside the apartment. Some basic amenities available (fridge, cups, dishes etc.) if someone prefers to enjoy their morning tea/ breakfast sitting on the porch.

The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. I wish there were some other kitchen amenities since dining options are rather limited in Lake Tekapo (I know the bigger units have these). And overall, the size of the apartment was a bit cramped for 3 guests.

No dishwasher, no oven, no condiments likes a normal apartment / house rental, more of a hotel set up which I wasn't expecting. Lots of noise from next door unit.
