Parque dos Reis Apartment 2

Apartamento muito bem localizado com tudo o que era necessário será para repetir numa outra oportunidade.

What not to like , large apartment well equipped with all needed mod cons, comfy bed , great fluffy towels and everything we needed to know from Patricia our host for our stay plus a bottle of wine and water on our arrival. Stayed in Parque dos Reis before but a different not so good apartment so we knew the location well , near 2 supermarkets close to beach and numerous restaurants near by. Very enjoyable 10 night stay our 5th visit to Monte Gordo , highly recommended and good value for money in Portugal.

Nothing , we did arrive when the pool was being maintained but was only the 1st couple of days. Nice but cold pool but it is early season. I had forgotten it was a bit deep for me but was enjoyable to spend couple of days sitting beside it when we prepared not to go too far a field for a quite day.

The location was fantastic, though honestly everything in Monte Gordo is a short walk. There were multiple types of restaurants, hair salon/barbers, convenience stores, tatoo place, souvenir shops, pharmacies, bike rentals, Thai massage all within a very short (5 min or less) walk. The casino (which we didn't visit), beach and boardwalk were about a 10 min walk away at the most. Spain was easily accessible via a short 15 min trip on the ferry from Vila Real de Santo Antonio. The local person that managed the property was helpful and responded immediately when contacted. Our inbound travel was interrupted and we were significantly late arriving. We were accommodated for a very small fee. On arrival, we found a complimentary bottle of wine and water waiting for us. The unit was spacious, we enjoyed sitting on the balconies (there are 2) in the afternoon sun and the kitchen was well equipped. We travel with tech (c-pap, laptop, phones, tablets, etc); I loved the fact that there were a few power bars/multi-outlet plugs available, found in the cabinet under the TV. The unit was fully accessible. Eventually we plan to retire near this location during the Winter months and these accommodations, if available and affordable for that period of time, would be on our list of top contenders.

Replacement garbage bags and paper towels would have been nice to have on arrival in the unit. There was a great instructional booklet with very good information for the stay e.g. garbage and recycling instructions and rules for the stay. We later found this in the cabinet, but thought it should really be left on the table for viewing first thing.

We absolutely loved our stay. The apartment's spacious, sunny, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. It was wonderful being less than a 5 minute walk to the beach & a wide range of restaurants. As we were there in the winter, we also appreciated the great heating and the cozy blankets. The hosts are kind and helpful. Overall, it was an amazing home away from home.

Everything was great; there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Clean, cosy, good location. Spar supermarket across the street.

The location was excellent. Very near the centre and the beach, and yet a very quiet area.. not a sound to be heard at night
