Villino Caterina House: big terrace seaview

The apartment was clean, quiet and the view was breathtaking.

We knew there were going to be steps but we feel the listing didn’t really prepare for just how steep the steps would be. It was a little treacherous to navigate, especially at night.

I love the fact that this apartment has the strongest air condition compared to the entire country of Italy. Out of the hotels that we stayed such as Hyatt in Milan and Best Western in Genova, this has the strongest air condition. The location is very private from the tourist area. There is a village elevator that will cost two euro during summer for tourist, but it is free if you live in this apartment. So it will help you a lot if you have some heavy luggage’s to carry uphill! And outside the apartment, there are not a lot of people walking. so you feel like you are at the VIP location of the village just like being at a bottle service section of a club. The owner of this apartment communicated very well with us to prepare us how to get to the apartment before our arrival. And it has everything to cool us off in the apartment. in addition, the owner even welcome us to their local bar that they own with a welcome drink and some snacks. There are cooking silverware in the kitchen and umbrella and a power adapter if needed in the apartment.

Gorgeous view with great instructions to get to from the train station. Host was very attentive and had a lovely shop in the city.

Light was bright through the windows and didn't allow us to sleep in any. Also, a little mix up with the discounted cinque terre pass discount.

A beautiful good sized flat with great views, very clear instructions as to how to park and reach the property through a WhatsApp channel, a very responsive host, general cleanliness of the flat, the simple but tasteful decoration.

The restroom could be cleaned with more attention. We communicated the issue with the host to which he responded very quickly and tried to fix it as soon as we left the house.

The view from the terrace was magnificent. You could also enjoy the view while lying in bed (which was extremely comfortable). The position was great for enjoyable walk to the centre. The host was very helpful and followed up to check that we were comfortable. It was good to have a washing machine and outside line.

Climbing the steep steps to the house was difficult with bags (and without) for a 76 year old but that is the price you have to pay for the magnificent view. Coffee machine required coffee pods and only 2 pods were provided and we couldn’t find pods in supermarket.

Incredible views! Close to restaurants but still very quiet. Nice little place to stay!
