This was a perfect spot to come home to. The deck was FANTASTIC, a great place to view the water, enjoy drinks and food with friends. There was so much space to spread out in this home. Riomaggiore is such a lovely town. Giovanni was also so attentive and helpful. He was always quick to respond to any inquiries I had.

We could definitely hear the late night revellers and early morning deliveries from the bedrooms. Our white noise maker helped.

Extremely helpful host. Andrew sent us clear directions (with video) about how to find the apartment, tucked in behind the main street up a narrow stone alleyway. The large rooftop deck overlooking the town and the sea was extraordinary. The ferries, restaurants, and rock beach are easy walking distance. We had 3 teens with us -- two shared a bedroom with a large bed and couch, and one slept on the large foldaway bed. Each room had a ceiling fan or a floor fan. There was a trade-off about leaving windows open: in August, you want to take advantage of the sea breeze, but the restaurants on the street below and the neighbors on their deck can be loud late into the night. Two of us worked out the trade-off by sleeping in the reclining chairs on the rooftop deck. The apartment was very clean, and the full kitchen had everything we needed. There are two small markets with basics around the corner, and we had yogurt, fruit, and eggs from our kitchen to the deck each morning. One of our main recommendations is that, even though Riomaggiore's beach is very rocky and no sand, it had the best swimming among all the towns -- the clearest water to see thousands of fish in the cove. Monterosso had the most fun sandy beach, but the swimming did not compare to Riomaggiore. (We also recommend swims in Corniglia and Vernazza -- bring good goggles). We had hoped to hike from town to town, but rock slides knocked out some of the trails. In the end, it was probably better that we used the trains and spent more energy swimming. Overall, 10/10. We hope to go back soon!

As noted, the street noise from the restaurants and neighors on their decks until way past midnight. But that's August in Italy! Very much worth the noise to be around so much beauty and fun.

No air conditioning which I didn’t realize. Very expensive for comfort level. Heat was unbearable at night. Had to keep windows open to get any air. It was loud in the streets until 2am then trash and trucks were loud starting at 7am. Stayed in apartments for 2 weeks. This was the most expensive unit and the least comfortable.

Clean, spacious, precious terraza. Some areas renovated .

Ca Vivaldi is located in the middle of Riomaggiore, so it was close to everything, even the tunnel to the railway station. Beds were good and both rooms had a fan to keep it cool. Bathroom was quite modern and water pressure was good. Contact with the owner (Giovanni) was exceptional, and we really liked the little video he supplied with directions to the property. The kitchen was spacious and with some oil and other necessities available. We really enjoyed the veranda outside the kitchen, which has an electrical retractable awning. There was no need for us to go down to the rocks to enjoy sunsets, we did it from the comfort of our property! For an small and old town, this property was as good as you can get. I'll definitely return here if I get a chance

The loud music coming from a place downstairs, but we brought our ear plugs, so no real issue. The bathroom and kitchen are up some steep stairs. Again, we knew about this, so not really an issue. No fan in the lounge area. Wi-fi was slow but is something that can be fixed easily. Giovanni is busy building a new bathroom downstairs, so once it is finished, it will make the experience so much more enyoyable

The location of Ca’ Vivaldi is perfect, it is very spacious and the kitchen is beautiful. The balcony has great views! I will stay here again. Everything was perfect

The facility was good.

There is no air conditioning so you cannot keep the windows closed. As a result the noise from the street and bars will keep you awake until 1:30 in the morning. Then the street cleaners start at 5:30 so only 4 hours sleep possible per night. There was construction in progress in the apartment without warning so we just put up with construction items in the way. No construction while we were there though.

Well kept and clean penthouse apartment with two bedrooms each containing a queen size bed, living room with a pull out sofa bed for two, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and a large roof top terrace overlooking Mediterranean Sea and picturesque houses of Riomaggiore. Loved having a laundry machine in the apartment too.

Lots of stairs to take to reach penthouse apartment, which could be an issue for people that can’t manage that. We had no issues and were rewarded with beautiful views.

The terrace is awesome! There is plenty of seating and a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and look at the sea. As in most places there isn't air conditioning but the ceiling fans in the bedrooms made it comfortable to sleep. The place was very clean and the upstairs kitchen was huge. Giovanni's video on how to get to the apartment was the best and easy to follow for first time visitors.

As many people have already commented, the bathroom on the second floor from bedrooms can be challenging at night but it did not bother us.
