Lovely place, clean, central and great views

No toilet roll, no washing up liquid or tea towel, which is fine if you are told that you need to bring them.

Close to sea front, free on street parking within 5 minute walk

We booked for 2 nights at christmas but left after 1 and drove the 2 hours home on christmas day. This property is not very clean and the owner just blames the cleaning company, this is your property you should be checking! Bathroom - mouldy shower curtain, stains on walls, vent blocked with dust. Kitchen - kettle full of scale, dirty tea towel, hairs in freezer, stained dining table. Bedroom - bobbly worn cover on double bed, poor quality curtains that didn't keep the street light out, light fittings thick in dust. Living room - worn out sofa too uncomfortable to use, fusty smell.

Excellent location, directly above Cafe 55, front room overlooking the beach and RNLI centre. Warm, comfy beds and bedding. Excellent WiFi, quality furnishings and decor throughout, complete with every utensil you’d ever need in the kitchen. Warm central heating too, which was very much appreciated as it was very cold when we visited.

Nothing major really. The two bedrooms are on a side road, and as the building is older there’s no double glazing, so you can hear some road noise. Nothing a pair of earplugs can’t sort out though. Be aware that the shower is linked up to the bathroom taps, so if having a bath before you may need to wait a little while for the hot water tank to fill back up. Also little things like no kitchen roll/tea towel or bin bags for the kitchen bin or bathroom bin, so maybe pack some just in case. Nothing major though.
