San Lorenzo Holiday

This was a very spacious and spotlessly clean apartment only a few step steps from the crystal clear water of San Lorenzo! You need a car to visit lots of beautiful places like Marzamemi, Noto and Ortigia!

My room mates both felt the sheets not clean and washed them. Very little amenities left. Bare minimum. 1 toilet roll for a group of 3. My current accommodation 30 mins away gave me 6 toilet rolls and I’m alone. No cleaning products left. No cloth no sponge. No tea. Every holiday home is more generous in this regard. However they did provide coffee .

Easy and flexible check-in as we were met by the host on arrival with the keys and intro to the property. Property was close to the beach as described and had a nice and safe space outside for small kids to run around.

The apartment, especially kitchen is equipped with rather basic and limited items and apart from a bottle of water and some coffee capsules did not contain any provisions, like salt, pepper, spices, oil, vinegar. Also, bedlinen and towels are charged at 20 Euros per person in addition, a baby cot also has a fee. So be prepared to bring bin liners, toilet paper, washing detergent etc. Also, there is no flexibility with the check-out past 10 o'clock even though the cleaners didn't turn up until the afternoon the next day (we know because of our friends who stayed above). The apartment is fine and practical enough, but lacks any character.

It was nice and clean.

We were there in March when it was quite cold. The host provided us with extra blankets and that kept us warm. Otherwise we were satisfied with our stay. Wifi was good and several supermarkets in the neighborhood.

Giuseppe and his father was very friendly and avaliable for any questions. The apartment felt very clean and new. We loved how the kitchen was fully equipped and easy too cook our meals. The best part for us with 2 small children was the outside area wich was closed and had a lot of shadow so they could safely play outside. It was easy to walk down to the beach and comfortable with outside shower to rinse the sand before going inside. Every morning a car passed honking outside who sold fresh bread and cornetto. We would absolutely recommend this house and would love to come back.

It was really close to the beach and we had a great view from our upstairs apartment and terrace.

When I did the booking it wasn't clear to me that it was one of two apartments. The host can point that out more prominently.
