Lovely traditional property in fantastic location, right on beachfront. The sound of the ocean and the local atmosphere made for a fantastic time. Fernando is a great host, always available. I will definitely be back to lovely Playa Honda.

Everything, from location, lay out, amenities, soft comfy beds, to views etc was impeccable. Watch sunrise from sofa, wake up listening to sea waves. Nothing is too little to ask from Fernando, gem of a host. They do the most economical car hires as well. Who gives free bikes (they don’t have to and can charge same fees…)? kids enjoyed it to the fullest. Perfect for family, we could relax at property while watching our kids play in the sand. There were even some beach toys and surf board! I have stayed in all 5 stars (Sofitel, Crowne etc) and know what to expect when I pay for a stay. I can’t understand the negative reviews, I’ll try to explain some points 1. Dated furniture- this does not equate to dirty and uncomfortable. It was clean and comfortable, what matters 2. Shower curtain: it’s on a telescopic rod so if you pull it hard, it’ll displace, you need to know what this is. 3. Cockroaches- I could smell the insecticide when we arrived (some spray bottles were available as well) and not much seen during our stay. This is a warm place and urban development- insects found in all such places. 4. Restaurant next door: yeah so more life, can’t see the problem. There is no late night disco or loud music, just some happy people having a chatter. Would definitely stay again if opportunity came.

Just a suggestion that perhaps kids don’t need to see nude pictures of couples embracing as wall art.

Fantastic location on the lovely beach and close to restaurants and shops. There is a restaurant next door that was only open the first night thankfully . Perhaps the owner forgot to mention till this in the “detailed” description.

Location perfect, property itself is manky. It cost €120 per night so one would expect much better. First morning I found a half dead cockroach beside the bed. No bedside locker on one side, one of the windows stuck and a huge huge fan thats for film making or something. There are 2 more of these noisy things in the house also. The shower room is bordering on disgusting. Shower curtain falls off the wall and water leaks out all over the floor. The shower head in set too low. Toilet is mounted out in the floor with a 100mm gap with the wall. Wash basin is loose. Paint is chipping off all the woodwork and door frame is rotting. Usual sewer smell at times too. The kitchen is a dirty mess. It’s some kind of dumpster find that looks like it’s been fitted upside down somehow. And it’s filthy, we had to wash all the utensils we used beforehand. Paint chipping off everything here too. There’s a huge patio table and chairs for the dining room, very uncomfortable too. Windows sticking and paint chipping off every thing here too. Living room area is another mess with bed sheets over the couches, broken wicker tables, paint chipping etc etc. the wall Mounted tv was fitted by someone that’s chanced it. The patio area is well filthy too with paint chipping off everything also. We have been travelling around Lanzarote for 6 weeks and have to say the standard of individually owned apartments is quite appalling. Most are dirty, run down, cockroach infested places. It’s just not acceptable to be charging massive money for this kind of accommodation but what can we do. We love it here but will be re thinking plans next year. This house has had most of these issues mentioned in other reviews but NONE of the complaints have been addressed in over 2 years. It hasn’t been given any maintenance work in years and years. Such a pity as it really could be fantastic with a little money spent on it.

Open and spacious apartment which had lots of charm. A very comfy place to be and the host was responsive. Was really nice to literally just step out and be on the beachfront. You could hear the waves crashing from the all rooms in the apartment which was really nice. Bikes were really useful and easy to get around to Arrecife or Puerto Del Carmen if you wanted to. Lots of really nice restaurants nearby.
