"Kann man machen ...."

Der Ort Wernigerode liegt im zentralen Harz. Die Gegend mit dem einzigen gesunden Baumbestand (Buchenwälder) war die Gegend um Lonau/Osterode. Allerdings ist dies ca. 1 1/2 Stunde von unserem Aufenthalt entfernt. Sehenswert waren auch hexentanzplatz, Rosstrappe und die teufelsmauer, welche vom urlaubsort per Auto gut zu erreichen sind.

Die Ferienwohnung war für zwei Personen sehr klein und beengt (schlecht geschnitten/viele Schrägwände). Das Internet war oft nicht nutzbar und oft unterbrochen. Die Ausstattung der Ferienwohnung war mäßig. Ohne vorher darauf hinzuweisen mußte ich zuzüglich zum Preis 65 Euro für Kurtaxe und Handtücher bezahlen. Die unmittelbare Gegend wies viele kranke bzw. tote Bäume auf (teilweise Kahlschlag mitten im Sommer), dafür gab es erschreckend viele Windräder, v.a. um den Brocken herum. Erholungsgefühl kam schwer auf. Eine energetisch sehr niedrig schwingende Gegend, sowohl vom Naturell als auch unter menschlichem Aspekt.

Location was fantastic.

Hidden charges...owner hanging around ALL the time..No curtains in one of the rooms and curtains hanging off in another..Being locked out of one room because owner was upset and changed their mind from when we arrived with regard to which rooms we were allowed to use..Our belongings were in the locked room..The house smelt of the owners dog..Having paid a fee for linen and cleaners, was surprised to be asked to empty the outside ashtrays and move the bins for the owner.

Lovely location, had everything we needed

Very limited English speaking which made it very difficult to ask questions and find out how to get keys.( although the hosts were very nice, it did really test my German!) I also emailed through booking.com a question re parking before we arrived, several times however I did not receive and answer. When we left in the morning I could not find anyone to leave the keys with so we left them in the lock to our door to the apartment
