Very clean and nice! We were here in April so it was quiet around no noises from outside, downstairs there is a restaurant, a few minutes down the road there is a backery and a food market, everything is easily approachable! Our stay was perfect!

Sea view, location, facilities

Minor details: perhaps a couple of washing machine soap pods would be nice. Otherwise, the apartment has everything you need for a great stay

Der Gastgeber hat für diese Unterkunft falsche Fotos verwendet. Das Appartement sieht komplett anders aus als auf den Fotos. Auch wurde erst im nachhinein aufgeklärt das es keinen Meerblick gibt. Wir sollten mehr bezahlen, wenn wir Meerblick möchten. Das wäre OK, wenn die Fotos nicht eine andere Sprache sprechen würden. Auch die Ausstattung wie angegeben zB mit Holz- bzw. Parkettboden stimmte nicht. Es war alles minderwertiger als die vorhandenen Fotos. Es war für 4 Personen reserviert, aber es wurden nur 2 Betten gemacht. Zuerst meinte der Gastgeber im Sofa finden wir das Bettzeug, das stimmte nicht, wir haben es dann im Kasten im Schlafzimmer auf nochmaliger Nachfrage gefunden. Auf die Frage warum nicht wie reserviert für 4 Personen die Betten gemacht wurden hieß es nur: "Das ist unsere Firmenpolitik!" Also haben wir die Betten dann selber gemacht. In der Wohnung war es bei Ankunft sehr kalt, da nicht geheizt wurde. Die Dusche war defekt, wurde am nächsten Tag repariert. Im ganzen Appartement gab es Wasser- und Schimmelschäden. Der Gastgeber war zwar erreichbar, aber nicht hilfreich. Auch haben wir trotz Anfrage keinen Beleg für die extra zu bezahlende Touristensteuer bekommen.

The view is magnificent, and the overall location near, but not in, bustling Catania is very convenient. The fascinating castello is right across the street, and we found several friendly cafes nearby that served very reasonably priced and delicious food. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, the entire apartment was spotless, and the updated bathroom was spacious and furnished with large, terrycloth towels.

Although there is a functioning kitchen, it is not furnished with many glasses, plates, etc. and it would be wonderful to have an automatic coffee maker of some kind. Also, guests who are sensitive to noise should be aware that the apartment is quite noisy, both from autos and pedestrians, and from the large, loud restaurant directly below. We just beat the season, but it seems that in high season parking might be difficult to find. Nevertheless, we felt that the positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and we would stay again.
